Can't remember him ever being convicted of that mind. But since you're judge and jury we'll leave it at that

Guess you see what you want to see. Just don’t want to have any association with such rich fuckers, who are just too rich to be prosecuted, but just to say, Jimmy Seville was never convicted. Prosecution as I am sure you know is dependent on a number of factors, and guilt does not always get a prosecution. I am certainly no judge, but I have worked for him - something I am ashamed of to this day. Still, there are millions of other more appropriate tunes out there, with no dubious backstory to get behind.

Well to be fair I agree with you. Whether Jackson was guilty or not it would give opposing fans a stick to beat us with?

As soon as Eddie was in the frame this song came back to me. Ah those were the days.

Nice viewing, nice tune -  but no verbal references of use at all.

And here they are last month or so - holy F**k - she's 55 - and looking like that - doesn't seem to have aged (much).

yeah me too, need more words though to follow the melody through

He came from Bournemouth

But now he's geordie

Oh Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe Howe Howe

And now he'll take us

The toon to glory

Into Europe we will go

Don't like the 2nd & 3rd last lines, someone please amend. Also realise technically not from Bournemouth. Apart from that basically John Lennon.

Robin Hood:

(optimistic version)

Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe

Coming down the Tyne

Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe

In the nick of time

Feared by the sad

Loved by the toon

Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe

(Less optimistic version)

Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe - Sailing Up the Tyne

Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe - Has he come in time?

Will he keep us up?

Will he take us down?

Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe

And one based on Dirty Old Town:

I met Sir Bob, by the Leazes Stand

Asked Bob-by, whose the boss to be

He said my son, there’s only one for me

Eddie O’Howe

Eddie O’Howe

Bobby got the name wrong as he tended to do (RIP)

Posted this before on another thread, but some creative person should be able to make something out of this classic.

Still think this is the strongest so far lyrics would only need some slight alterations

Ok here’s a first go using it

Ooh

Whenever we win, whenever we lose

Whenever he plays Jonjo Shelvey

We’ll head for the bars , and reach for the stars

Just like Eddie

In that old video from Bournemouth with Eddie Howe and Callum Wilson walking round having a bit craic, Howe says his heros are A-ha and he most wants to meet Morten Harket.

Some high notes here, but everyone knows the tune and the riff makes a great chant.

Toon   Arr  Mee (Toon! Ar! Me!)

Eeh  Dee Howe (Toon! Ar! Me!)

Win the league!

In a year or two!

DA-DA-DA-DA-DA

DA DA

DA-DA-DA-DA-DA

DA-DA-DA-DA-DA

DA DA

DA-DA-DA-DA-DA

NB. The win the league bit is not remotely serious and merely mirrors the original lyrics. It can all be changed. "Stay Verr Lee" would fit too.

I'm concerned that we've got a game in 72 hours and there's nee Eddie Howe song. If someone doesn't step up, I'm going to belt out Nicky Butt's ditty until it swirls around the stadium as punishment:

NA NA, NA NA, NA NA, NA NA, NA NA NA, EDDIE EDDIE HOWE, EDDIE HOWE, EDDIE EDDIE HOWE

Also, does ASM have a song? Literally only heard the Wilson one for a player since getting back to SJP, the songbook is fucking tragic.

Still bitter that 'Toon toon toon everybody say wey aye (wey aye)' to The Outhere Brothers didn't work when I tried it as a kid, but here's a 5 minute job. Probably a bit too sensual and cringe tbh, could use some workshopping.

Can you hear me calling out your name,
Came from Bournemouth and came to save the day.

You can keep your Conte
Take your Klopp
Eddie's mags are goin right to the top

Oh I, I wanna be with you Eddie Howe
Oh I, I wanna be with you Eddie Howe
(I wanna be with you Eddie Howe)

Haven't posted here before but am completely made up with Howe's appointment and thinking he needs a song.

A version of Queen's 'Don't stop me now' could work, basically just replacing the lyrics 'dont stop me know' with 'Oh Eddie Howe' from 2:43 in the video, ending with the 'la da da da da' singalong.

"Oh Eddie Howe - we're having such a good time, we're having a ball.

Oh Eddie Howe - if you want to have a good time, just give him a call.

Oh Eddie - we're having a good time

Oh Eddie - we're having a good time

We don't want to stop at all

(La da da da da etc)"

https://youtu.be/HgzGwKwLmgM

Looks tripe written down but could work when you listen to the track...

And obviously can't be sang if we're playing shite but I'm optimistic!

Looking forward to Saturday,

Cheers guys

Here’s 2 really crap songs

One for Eddie based  on Seasons in the Sun

We had Bruce, and Ag-new

we had Stephen Clemence too,

but now the Steve’s are all gone

We’ll sing Eddie this crap song

One for ASM based on the saints go marching in

Oh he’s a Saint, Saint Maximin

Oh he’s a Saint, Saint Max-I-min

He’s gonna beat all-your de-fenders

he’s a Saint, Saint Max-I-min

and miggy based on Hey Mickey by Toni Basil

Oh Miggy, you're so fast

You're so fast, you are so class

Hey Miggy, hey Miggy

Oh Miggy, you're so fast

You're so fast, don’t forget to pass

Hey Miggy, hey Miggy

Perhaps 'Bella Ciao', the 19th century Italian protest hymn of freedom, hope and unity would be fitting.

"Oh Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao Ciao Ciao" = "Oh Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe Howe Howe".

Lads, he's^ cracked it (i.e. shamelessly stole something from the Celtic fans who got far too far ahead of themselves).

? He came from Bournemouth, to lead Newcastle. Oh Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe Howe Howe. ?

Here are the lyrics translated in to English if it helps.

The world is waking outside my window
Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
Drags my senses into the sunlight
For there are things that I must do

Wish me luck now, I have to leave you
Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
With my friends now up to the city
We're going to shake the Gates of Hell

And I will tell them - we will tell them
Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
That our sunlight is not for franchise
And wish the bastards drop down dead

Next time you see me I may be smiling
Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
I'll be in prison or on the TV
I'll say, "the sunlight dragged me here!"

Aye. It’s just his name akin to the chant of “Your ground’s too big for you” et al.
