Made the mistake of listening to the TF podcast today, they're full of sympathy.  One of them going on about Pardew being a decent bloke but it had just ran its course as it does for most managers apart from Ferguson, made the point that people are even saying Wenger's finished these days.

Later on they were prattling on about how Obertan is better than Routledge. How can you watch our games and be so clueless?

I've just listened to Talksport having a go at him yet again. They're the only ones genuinely telling it like it is.

I wouldn't say that. The breakfast show yesterday was embarrassing listening as they tried to claim that where he was from was a big part of the reason for us wanting him out.

His cock-er-nee accent doesn't help him sound honest.

Good read.

Finally people are starting to see where the fans are coming from and that we are not such a demanding bunch after all.

Apart from Leeds being the better one club city because it apparently has 'four times as many people living there'. It always amazes me how many times people misjudge the size of Newcastle. The true size of Newcastle is not simply the number of people living within the small city boundaries but the number of people living in Tyneside as a whole and its immediate surroundings. This means Newcastle is very comparable population wise to Leeds and not one quarter of its size as the article suggests.

I thought that to start with but it made sense within the context of the article. The largest one sport city and how our expectations are no better/worse than another well supported one club city club. Club.

I didn't used to mind them but they're just in it for the bantz trying to be Ramble esque.

It's not Taylor and Besty like, it's those dolts that they've started promoting just because one of them writes for TF sometimes. TF's editorial line couldn't be much more anti-Pardew at this point tbf.

The only players who look like they're still putting a shift in are the ones that know they're finished when Pardew leaves.  That's why Obertan in particular put in a real effort when he came on the other night and looked better than most of our other players.  Once Pardew goes he'll be absolutely finished here under any competent manager and he knows it.

Didn't know they had another podcast - why have 2? I'll not bother with it then. It's not that Bettsy pleb is it?

Even though it'd be absolutely garbage it'd be hilarious to have one off here.

Eh? Who the hell are these guys?

Manager Alan Pardew's steely personality will help him cope with the intense pressure at Newcastle, according to two former team-mates.

The Magpies are 19th in the league and fans are calling for Pardew's sacking, while sections of the media have suggested his future is not secure.

"He's one of very few people who can handle the situation," former Crystal Palace team-mate Mark Bright said.

Ex-Eagles captain Geoff Thomas added: "He won't chuck the towel in."

Someone on Team Twat is doing a great job getting all these ex pros to endorse Pardew without any explanation as to why they're speaking at all.

Being paid to say exactly what they're told to imo.

Yeah. It's all very organized by someone in his team. Probably still rattled by all the SackPardew stuff and realise that his own lies and contradictions won't cut it any more from a PR point of view.

We signed this dud on an 8 year contract. The reasoning behind it was glorious too by the buffoons running our club who think they're revolutionising a 'business' they have absolutely zero knowledge about:

"You can't keep changing your manager if he has a bad run - it doesn't make any sense at all. We just want to break that mould in football. Eight years... this is where we've got to be."

Llambias added: "In the early days, we were all new to it and a lot of lessons were learned very quickly, but over time we've stabilised the club and now we have to stabilise the biggest side of the club and that's the football side. You need to have the right people running that side for you.

"The relationship I have with Alan is tremendous and with Graham Carr (Chief scout who also has an eight-year deal) and John Carver. It just works for us so why shouldn't we secure it for the future?

"It will reflect on the pitch, the fans will be happier, there won't be all that chatter if the team goes through a bad patch, so it's a big step. I don't think it's really been done before. And also it's a contract which is a normal contract for a top manager in the Premier League."

The only benefit comes from them looking even more gormless as he continues to lose games hand over fist despite them lying to all and sundry abut how good he is. Soundbites will continue to mislead the thick cunts but losing regularly will render their opinion as worthless given enough time.

You can only explain it away for so long to even the thickest of Newcastle fans. Unfortunately too many of our lot are thick as bull's dicks.

That is literally comical stuff.  Admitting they didn't know much about football and then thinking that within a short time they'd learned it all, with a sudden ability to 'break the mould'.  Sometimes there's a reason for the mould or a rule, it works.  Pointing out the only two exceptions like Wenger and Ferguson almost proves the rule more than anything.  We've just never had anybody with a combination of intelligence and football knowledge running the club.  It shows badly over the years and it's why we lurch from one bad decision to the next.  Whenever something is done right, it's pretty much almost by accident.

He got an 8 year deal in the hope England/a proper club might come knocking; nothing more, nothing less.

It's been the same on everything since Enrique and Barton had the power in the contract winding's down.

Shit scared of doing someone else doing what we do in the transfer market to us.
