Crystal Palace manager

I didn't used to mind them but they're just in it for the bantz trying to be Ramble esque.

It's not Taylor and Besty like, it's those dolts that they've started promoting just because one of them writes for TF sometimes. TF's editorial line couldn't be much more anti-Pardew at this point tbf.

Didn't know they had another podcast - why have 2? I'll not bother with it then. It's not that Bettsy pleb is it?

Even though it'd be absolutely garbage it'd be hilarious to have one off here.

It's this bell:

I've just listened to Talksport having a go at him yet again. They're the only ones genuinely telling it like it is.

I wouldn't say that. The breakfast show yesterday was embarrassing listening as they tried to claim that where he was from was a big part of the reason for us wanting him out.

I only listen to Drivetime. Probably should've said that.

I think Phil Brown works for the station and made some comments in defence of Pardew. Adrian Durham responded in the afternoon by calling Brown 'a disgrace'.

That was excellent. Mick Quinn was sticking the boot in as well. Durham was quality - "I know Phil Brown works for this station but he said this morning that only fans and the media get managers sacked, total nonsense. If Pardew goes it's because he hasn't been good enough. Phil was a disgrace when he said that".

Eh? Who the hell are these guys?

Manager Alan Pardew's steely personality will help him cope with the intense pressure at Newcastle, according to two former team-mates.

The Magpies are 19th in the league and fans are calling for Pardew's sacking, while sections of the media have suggested his future is not secure.

"He's one of very few people who can handle the situation," former Crystal Palace team-mate Mark Bright said.

Ex-Eagles captain Geoff Thomas added: "He won't chuck the towel in."

The PR agency are circling the wagons. Any clown who met Pardead in a sweetshop is being paid to say good things about him.

There are similarities with Pardew's position now and when he was at West Ham.

He's got the team in a slump which he is unable to recover from.

He is unable to use his best players, either benching them or not playing to their strengths.

He is steering the ship slow and steady to relegation.

We signed this dud on an 8 year contract. The reasoning behind it was glorious too by the buffoons running our club who think they're revolutionising a 'business' they have absolutely zero knowledge about:

"You can't keep changing your manager if he has a bad run - it doesn't make any sense at all. We just want to break that mould in football. Eight years... this is where we've got to be."

Llambias added: "In the early days, we were all new to it and a lot of lessons were learned very quickly, but over time we've stabilised the club and now we have to stabilise the biggest side of the club and that's the football side. You need to have the right people running that side for you.

"The relationship I have with Alan is tremendous and with Graham Carr (Chief scout who also has an eight-year deal) and John Carver. It just works for us so why shouldn't we secure it for the future?

"It will reflect on the pitch, the fans will be happier, there won't be all that chatter if the team goes through a bad patch, so it's a big step. I don't think it's really been done before. And also it's a contract which is a normal contract for a top manager in the Premier League."

He got an 8 year deal in the hope England/a proper club might come knocking; nothing more, nothing less.

It's been the same on everything since Enrique and Barton had the power in the contract winding's down.

Shit scared of doing someone else doing what we do in the transfer market to us.

The toxic mix at the time 'the brains trust' if you like was a posh Lawyer, a poison dwarf, and a  businessman with zero knowledge of football. These were the guiding lights of a PL club...It's a sitcom basically.

They're resorting to saying things and hoping that people just accept it. The Routledge/Obertan nonsense being a good example of that.

But there was an enormous show of support for Taylor as he played 45 minutes of the rout against Carlisle on a day when he was demonstrating some of his trademark set-pieces.

Pardew will be keen to have one of the players who is in his corner back in the dressing room.

How many free kicks has he scored from for us? Can only remember the mackems one.

I don't know, but he is our best set-piece taker.
