LV
This is a great article on why people fall for bullshit. It might explain how Pards does it. http://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2015/12/3/9844480/why-people-believe-bullshit-science The best part being: Digging deeper, Pennycook found that acceptance of bullshit statements appears to be related to personal traits such as lower intelligence, belief in the paranormal, and the likelihood of believing in conspiracies

The College Dropout
Pardew is horribly defensive and was as defensive a performance you'll see yesterday. But away at Everton with Palace nobody's going to call him out for it.
Guest awaymag
I know ifs and ands were pots and pans but the facts are - if Newcastle hadn't rolled over and actually beat Crystal Palace then Newcastle would only be 4 points behind Pardew's team. This whole media crap about what a great start they've had etc is just that - crap
The College Dropout
In turn how many points behind Everton and Liverpool are Palace actually behind? Equally had they beaten or drawn against Sunderland they'd be top 6. So yeah if's and but's mean nothing.

Paully
From .com 2010 Chris Hughton's replacement as Newcastle manager was confirmed as the former Reading, West Ham, Charlton and Southampton boss, Alan Pardew. Bewilderment amongst fans rapidly gave way to fury, with Pardew seen as bringing nothing to the club that Hughton lacked - arriving in an atmosphere of renewed hostility of the type that had helped destabilise the club with disastrous consequences in 2008/09. And in further echoes of 2008, there were calls for fan-led protests inside and outside St. James' Park before and during the forthcoming home game against Liverpool. Jayson
His season with them is very similar to his first full one with us really. He's made them defensively tighter, they dont concede more than one in a game. So if they score they either draw or win. The only game in the league they've conceded more than once this season with 11 men was losing 2-1 to Arsenal one of which was still an own goal. Thats very impressive like. Just as it was impressive when a defence of Ryan Taylor, Saylor, Simpson etc had the best defensive record in England for quite a period the season we finished 5th. Again it was similar, our first 11 games that season we conceded more than 1 only once. While Ba would score the other side. Same situation though, for us he relied on Ba then Cisse. For them he's relying on Bolasie/Zaha & defenders goals. The systems working for him atm, ive not seen much to suggest he'll adapt when he has to change it though. If Bolasie/Zaha are out they'll struggle to score.

Next season they will implode as he won't know how to evolve / what to do when the hammerings come.

huss9
talking absolute bollocks about perez. “He has a special quality that you don’t see in too many players and everyone at Newcastle could see that as soon as he arrived at the club.” “We asked him to adapt to the pace of the Premier League very quickly as soon as he arrived at Newcastle and that wasn’t easy for him at the start.” “He needed some time to appreciate what was needed in this league, but technique wise, he is top class.” “He has improved in the Premier League now and that is good to see. We always knew there was a special player in there and I’m not surprised to see him doing well.” lying cunt. he didn't play him until he was desperate for options, and perez didn't take time to adapt. he took to the premier league almost immediately. The College Dropout
They defend so deep and desperately. Need to work so hard to a man. Easy to do when the going is good like it has been so far. But when the 5-6 losses come in it aint so easy.
