Wilson Posted January 17, 2015 Share Posted January 17, 2015 There's been silence from the garde camp for a week now too, while nearly every other manager we've been linked with has ruled themselves out, we've heard nothing from him. I think it's garde. It is strange how we've heard nothing from them since the Chronicle said the club weren't happy the french media had found out about the meeting. More hope. Yeah, they've not said a thing. I'd have thought if the interest was over from either side, we'd have heard about it, like we have mclaren, Howe, the German guy and the guy from Madrid. Staying on Ashley’s good side – who, before the Pardew days, often sacked managers for little reason – and being popular with the fans is a tough ask these days. I think they'd only ever considered Carver and if we search for a manager and get Garde, it's because we started searching and land on him from this point. Really it's always been Carver and if it's got to where Carver isn't getting the job, it's because Carver has showed himself up so much, even they can see he should be nowhere near a manager's job.
