Yeah, not sure it's been officially announced, but Trippier has been wearing 2 all pre-season. Everyone else has had their standard squad number, so assume he has moved to 2 now Clark has gone.

Cheers all, Trippier is the name he wants on the back, so guess we'll gamble on 2!

Not sure if the club are personalising shirts yet? (Might be if you go to the club store, but I don’t think they’re doing it via postage yet anyway).

I like the colours but the sponsor and stupid dots make it impossible to really like. Don't rate the collar design either. FUMING.

Meh, it's fine. Like a shit version of Silvio Maric (a).

With those 3 kits there'll be a bit of a kit clash when we go to Brighton won't there? The back of their new home kit is white which will clash with our third and that dark blue of the away clashes also. Home kit it is which is a bit of a clash too.

wont Brighton just wear their away kit?

The shirts are what clash.

We did used to play the mackems with both teams wearing home shirts, i suppose blue and white is more of a clash than red and white though.

Thank god. Looks 1000 times better when it fits in the color of the kit like that.

Have to disagree on that.

The badge should always be in the original colours imo.

It's the kit who should fit with the badge and not the other way around.

In my opinion, colours are as integral to the badge as the design itself - it all adds to the symbolism. If we changed the black stripes in the shield to red, that would be alright because it's still the same, of course?

Similar to flags. Take this flag of The Netherlands, for example:

1200px-Flag_of_Germany.svg.png

Sure, the colours have been changed a wee bit but it's absolutely still the Dutch national flag, I just thought this colour arrangement would work best on different shirts.

I just think that changing colours can change meanings. Our badge is coloured the way it is for a reason (with the notable exception of the erroneous blue background to the St. George's cross, which was a genuine error (should be white, of course) but is now part of the fabric, as it were). If we utilised the 80s NUFC circle badge then you can have that in any and every colour you like because it's just text.

Got an email from the club that states:

Quote

Designed with a navy colourway and gold detailing, and adorned with a sleeve print inspired by the Leazes Stand - this away kit exists to celebrate the famous home of Newcastle United.

Any clues? [emoji38]

Ahaha... Castore strike again??? Infants kit with Blue Shorts, all other sizes/ages with Yellow??

Must admit, when the shirt designs first leaked I just assumed the shorts would match the top for both the white and blue kits. Think the different colour shorts look a little off.

I guess if you viewed the Leazes stand sort of sideways...through the Matrix filter...in a really strong wind that was in the process of blowing it down?
