NUFC kits & merchandise

4th season in a row now with the green/white or white/green theme. Pretty obvious then that PIF have insisted on a Saudi coloured strip every year from now on then.

Pretty grim and on one hand I think if Ashley had forced a red, white and blue Sports Direct kit we would have all been kicking off.

But on the other, they are the owners and they could be complete twats and rebrand us completely including changing the home kit to Saudi green + white, so in that regard I'm probably grateful it's only the away strip that is effected, and until now the first few weren't awful.

Context is everything. Forgetting the fact red is the Mackems. If Mike Ashley ran the club properly, invested in the team and had a cup win and two CL qualifications under his ownership no one would give a fuck about the colours he choose for an away shirt.

im not happy with the Saudi green as it screams sports washing but I’ll never buy it it’s a shame many will

Bit of a segway here - still got my old ASICS top from 93/94 and it's still in good nick, but with one problem - the iconic Blue Star has started to peel off. :( Does anyone know somewhere that would be able to repair/put a new one on?

No they couldn’t. I’m sure there is safe guarding in place to stop this without fan approval

The green on the third strip is aimed for the Saudi market. Not got a problem with that personally, and as with anything, if you don't like an item, then don't buy it. I wouldn't touch any Adidas home shirt with a barge pole, due to that horrendous white back. Again that's my choice.

Cardiff went from Blue to Red didn't they?
Pretty sure Cardiff fans didn't have opportunity to vote against it?

"2012: Owner Vincent Tan, with the aim of attracting investment and appealing to Asian markets, changed the home kit color to red. This change also included a new crest with a dragon. "

The Cardiff colour change, alongside the attempts to change Hull’s name was what lead to the FA rules which protect it from happening.

We will get some decent originals stuff and all will be forgiven.  I can't see many Saudi lads cutting about in football shirts tbh, it also limits the appeal of getting one every season if the colours are broadly similar.

I actually quite like this one and frankly couldn't give a monkeys about the Saudi look at this point, but I hate this attitude. Kits are so much more than just items of clothing you choose to buy or not.
