The yellow and green scarves were because Newton Heath originally played in those colours, like the away strip man Utd wore early 90's. Our original strip was the burgundy and blue striped one we wore as an away strip in 1995/96 so Blue and Burgundy scarves is an idea. Man United however jumped on the bandwagon and began selling those scarves in their club shop which defeated the object. This is a great idea. If they were in any way serious about spending a bit of money on the club they'd have gone out and paid for a proper manager in January - they didn't, they went for the cheapest option possible, crossed their fingers and hoped it would be enough. That's the crux of the matter and it's not going to change now, this is the policy - spend as little as possible and hope it's enough. The cunts running the gaff have 7 seasons worth of past form to go on and all of these bullshit leaks about investment in the summer are a smokescreen to fool fucking retards into thinking they're serious. Unfortunately it's worked with quite a few of our thicker fans who've swallowed it down whole. Sadly this will fool a significant proportion of the support into buying tickets and shirts, which is why it seems to be club policy now. It was the same last summer and this is how they cottoned on, hence so many contracts running down. There's far more positive PR to be sucked from the gullible by buying a French Sammy Ameobi for £3m than renewing the contract of the one we've got. Do that for half a dozen fringe players and "Wow! As the structure of football has become recognisable and the sporting competition is more and more false or even obsolete, we're even more desperate not to think about the bigger picture.
