Deuce
Sometimes the club randomly does something smart and positive like this. It's weird. Maybe he's the next Aidy Boothroyd or Owen Coyle, but maybe he'll become the next big thing. I definitely see him taking over from McClaren at some point. I'll be honored to see him take some other PL club to the CL.

Cort
Sid Lowe @sidlowe 11s11 seconds ago Interesting move for Ian Cathro and could be really good for Newcastle. Slightly surprised he didn't go it alone (yet). Hugely impressive.
Kanji
I love this Cathro move and looking forward to getting official full announcements for rest of them. We will see a different Newcastle side next year.
DJ_NUFC
Goodness me, reading that profile, I don't know what to do with myself. This feeling you get when the club does something right is so strange and surreal. I shall have a drink tonight.

cannybagoftudor
If Cathro signs - this is definitely a new era - he is hailed as a very very good coach - colour me impressed
Ikon
Seems like this lad could have a very different coaching style compared to Fistlick! I like what i've read about him.
Disco
Interesting bit about him not seeing himself as an assistant for long, two or three years at most. Natural Free successor to McClaren is probably the club's thinking. Or he does alreet and someone comes in with a manager bid for him. Ding ding ding ding. Village Idiot
Wow, you got Cathro? Valencia were hard as fuck to break down this season, surely he's had some hand in that.

James
Brilliant Spanish article on him, if you feel inclined to endure google translate: http://thebarraca.com/2015/03/06/ian-cathro-el-secreto-escoces-de-nuno/ Once, with 16 years, driven by the effusive enthusiasm that characterizes premature genius, burst into a neighborhood store demanding the trader a bag of balloons with the carefree disdain who asks a package of snuff in the slums of poor death. Knows Mike Ashley then?
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Nice to see we don't seem to be appointing bib and cone men, but I'm still apprehensive given they could still be left with a very small pile of s**** to work with.
nufc4eva
I think it's positive we seem to be employing decent coaches as opposed to that ball bag and his boyfriend. Sounds like Simpson, Cathro and Black are all good at what they do.
