France will love this. Whoever comes out the winner here will be much more tired for the final.

Looks like the Croatians don't get tired, tbh.

Won Russia's supply when they defeated them.

We’ve got a second chance at this now. That was Newcastleque defending of a 1-0 lead, sit back and invite pressure.

Naah. That was Pardew's Newcastle.

Rafa's Newcastle would have held out tbf.

Think Croatia have blown it. They needed to sew that up after their goal.

Think the ball is back in your court now. Have to bring on Rose for Young though, and Loftus for Dele.

that and both should be comfortably beatable for them on this showing

Well we knew that already, doesn’t mean there’s no chance.

Trying to work out whether Southgate decided to sit back or if the half time break just killed momentum.

The 40 minutes after the goal were the ideal way to defend a lead - snuff out any counter attacks and keep ramping up the pressure.

We didn’t turn up after half-time and that English disease of treating the ball like a bomb reared it’s ugly head again with us chasing shadows and allowing them to pass and move around us. I don’t want to be critical though because that’s a side of our game that is in our DNA and ione tournament won’t rid us of it.

I’ll use an example, Henderson receives the ball from a throw at head height with players about 5 yards off him, our own and theirs, he doesn’t even control it, he just hooks the ball forward, anywhere. Modric receives a heavy ball with an England man on his back and he controls it, turns and plays a 5 hard pass, steps back deep behind the man he played it to, gets it back and then slips in a ball 20 yards upfield to a team-mate.
