Miercoles
Gregg Berhalter is available, and he's won more trophies than Southgate.
Yorkie
Pep would be the ultimate target, like. Would absolutely back that decision. Honestly dunno who I'd want less out of Klopp and Howe. Would be devastated to lose Howe but I also don't want to have to move abroad and never watch international football again.

St. Maximin
8 hours ago, Holmesy said: Zidane, Henry, Trezeguet, Pires, Galas, Evra, Vieira, Makelele, Ribery, Abidal, Thuram, Djorkaeff, Karembeau, Petit, Benzema, Giroud, and you could name another 20-30. None of the current France team would get in any France side from probably 96 onwards, with the possible exception of Kante, and i especially include specialist sprinter, Mbappe in that. I agree they are much weaker and maybe I’m being pedantic, but you did say it’s the worst squad in probably 25 years - which implies it was worse then despite the fact many of those were playing then and they were world champions . I agree with your overall point though. Maybe not quite in Germany too though as they were poor in the 2000s. Regarding Klopp, why would people mind that he loves a moan? I’m sure some of our players aren’t popular with other fans too - none of us care. He’s a proven winner and we’ve got past the celebrating a nice bloke that ultimately doesn’t win thing now. Could see it being a painful waste of money think our young'ns have a lot more football intelligence than previous generations and it wouldnt take too much to get them to buy in to any system. pep wiuldnt be able to buy players to suit his system so he'd have to set up a system to suit the players. Ben
Steve Bruce could have that England team to the final with probably the same tactics as Southgate.

Yorkie
I'd hate Newcastle to lose Howe but I'd argue that him going to England is, at this point, literally the only method of exit I could almost stomach - in the knowledge also that his replacement would be properly considered. Meanwhile I'd be absolutely mortified if England appointed Klopp. Honestly; could you fucking imagine it? Imagine if they won something. Jurgen Klopp, hero of England. Christ on a trike. 🙃 Gun to my head I'd keep Howe but it's a vile thought. All bollocks anyway of course. Neither will happen. Potter or Carsley would be interesting for different reasons. Really, what’s so unfathomable with a manager who moans a bit? Once they’re ours we see them differently - like I said I’m sure some of our players aren’t popular with other teams but we don’t care. He’s a proven winner. After several years I’d that over nice guy Gareth who ultimately always falls short. It won’t happen anyway.
Yorkie
'Moans a bit.' Aye, that's all it is with Klopp. As wonderful as a big win would be, and as disappointing as it is when opportunities are squandered - I don't agonise for England to win tournaments. I'm generally content in seeing us competitive and represented by people who I like and can feel pride in. If the cost of success is Jurgen Klopp and the utter horseshit which accompanies that bloke, you can keep it. (Again, agree that it won't happen)
Skeletor
Don't know if I could get behind Klopp as England manager. Yes we might well win a trophy, but I fucking hate that man.
Kid Icarus
I mean I don't like Klopp, but not knowing if you could get behind England under him and especially whether it would be preferable for Howe to get the job is just absolutely bat shit.

Where did I say it's preferable for Howe to get the job over him? I will struggle to support any team Klopp manages. It's about him as a person. Kimbo
Klopp isn’t just a moaner, he seems to have very little respect for other people. He’s a very good manager but I don’t think I care enough about the national team to go along with his bullshit antics.
TheBrownBottle
I'd happily see Klopp appointed England manager. Doubt he'd take it, but he should be a shoo-in if he was even remotely interested in the job. Don't think likeability comes into it.

tgarve
Find the Klopp hate very immature Yeah he’s an annoying opposition manager but he’s a great manager tactically and also for the club you support He would be the outstanding candidate bar Pep Say Howe got the job- if Newcastle then appointed Klopp would you move out the country - I’m sorry you wouldn’t
Mazzy
Funny how quick certain people in the media change their minds about Howe now he's linked with the England job. Perhaps because the alternatives of Potter/Carsley aren't very enticing. FWIW I'd go with Carsley.
