Minhosa
Made all the difference today. Ball to stuck to him. Zouma and Cahill will wake up at 3am with images of this crazy fucker backing in to them and chucking them around and not be able to get back to sleep. Really good game and very positive reaction to their nonsense. Well done son.

Dave
Wasn't really any sort of goal threat but otherwise he played well and gave us a lot of what we've been missing up front.
TRon
Absolutely superb display, the Chelsea players were getting thrown around like skittles. I feel a lot better about the rest of the season after watching that.
nufcjb
First time since Shearer that we have a striker who was backing into defenders and winning free kicks from it. Thought some of it was a bit cheap from the ref but it's better than having Cisse getting offside all the time.
B-more Mag
Be nice if we had some sort of cover for him.
Jayson
Was superb, worried & hassled the defenders. Constantly gave us a ball out, constantly gave us freekicks. Loved when he ran back to defend & let the ball run out while holding off their player like it was nothing. Simple things like that could've stopped a goal. Same as when he controlled it on his chest near our area first half. Seemed knackered 2nd half. If we're going to improve this season this lad will be a huge part of it. Pata
Hope some opposition players actually get sent off as they get frustrated with his strength. Ivanovic was already close today.
Guest firetotheworks
Even when he does little we're better with him in the team. That's the base for the argument for playing him. Kind of like the anti-Riviere.
dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Seems like a real leader on the pitch. Think we should be ok as long as he stays fit / doesn't get injured.
Big Geordie
Imperative that we keep this lad fit, and keep a lid on his aggression. Sounds very Shearer/Ferguson like in his centre-forward play.
RobS
Loved him today, when he was going off telling Toney to do his fucking job etc was great really cared you could see it in his face
Shak
He's basically the lynchpin of our entire season. Seems McClaren has no idea how to put out an effective team without a player of his type, and he's also the only player of his type we have.
RobS
Frustrating to think that Austin would of shared the load so effectively
Ronaldo
Ridiculous taking him off. Absolutely insane.
Guest Howaythetoon
Strong etc. but I don't see any quality on the ball or goal threat inside the box tbh. Held onto the ball far too long at times and as impressive as he was in the air, a lot of headers were wayward. For the money spent... I think Austin would have given us more immediately. Hopefully he will develop and become a top player.
Ronaldo
I reiterate, ridiculous taking him off. Even completely static he was what we needed out there. Perez was done before 70 minutes.
ujpest doza
ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING TODAY. Gave us an outlet, a focul point and got kicked from pillar to post.
ujpest doza
Ridiculous taking him off. Absolutely insane. He picked up a knock. Nothing serious but that's why he came off. He'd been crocked for ages before he went off, could hardly move. Got to remember he's effectively missed 4 games due to how early he went off against Arsenal so his match fitness will be a bit of an issue.
BONTEMPI
I reiterate, ridiculous taking him off. Even completely static he was what we needed out there. Perez was done before 70 minutes. I agree, he should have stayed on to make the ball stick and take the pressure off.
afar
I've just finished watching the game, got to say he was my man of the match, great to see a centre forward putting himself about for us once again, deserved a goal but his passion and determination was infectious, tremendous performance, the goals will come with this attitude and some better service of course. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Would love to watch him up against Williamson in training. Could make a killing from You've Been Framed at £50 a pop.
Gallowgate Toon
Fought from the front - always a massive help, as was his ability to link play and open up gaps. Shagged after an hour, as you'd expect.
Dave
Already thinking he's probably the key to us getting out of the shit. Alright he's rash and has got himself in trouble but his desire and commitment up front is a huge part of what we've been lacking. Some drive, some old-fashioned centre forward play and some geeing up of the crowd and his teammates. Considering he's only 21, brand new to the club and hasn't even scored a goal yet, it's a fairly fucking embarrassing state of affairs.
Hanshithispantz
It's massively refreshing to see someone with genuine passion, he got the fans going a few times which can play a massive part.
