Made a difference having a presence up front. Never get injured or suspended again please.

This  He's also very vocal, what he did with the crowd was class. It's seems like him being suspended was a reason why we we're so shite the last 3 games.

Must be a nightmare defending him. It looks impossible to knock him off balance.

If he can maintain his composure he's going to be some player for us.

I can see that bit of strong holding up play Shearer in him. And the defending too, Shearer used to chip in with clearing things when we needed it. We just need to get more quality balls to him in the box, as I'm sure he can finish well for us.

When I see those glimpses of Shearer-esque strength and hold up play, it really underlines that we haven't had that for a long time. Carroll sort of did, but not in the same way.

Made all the difference today. Ball to stuck to him.

Zouma and Cahill will wake up at 3am with images of this crazy fucker backing in to them and chucking them around and not be able to get back to sleep.

Really good game and very positive reaction to their nonsense. Well done son.

First time since Shearer that we have a striker who was backing into defenders and winning free kicks from it. Thought some of it was a bit cheap from the ref but it's better than having Cisse getting offside all the time.

Was superb, worried & hassled the defenders. Constantly gave us a ball out, constantly gave us freekicks. Loved when he ran back to defend & let the ball run out while holding off their player like it was nothing. Simple things like that could've stopped a goal. Same as when he controlled it on his chest near our area first half. Seemed knackered 2nd half.

If we're going to improve this season this lad will be a huge part of it.

Even when he does little we're better with him in the team. That's the base for the argument for playing him.

Kind of like the anti-Riviere.
