Krul was outstanding that season. There were loads of games where we just clung on for dear life. You could make a case for some others but at the time I don't think anybody questioned him winning it.

So Chalobah gets to go and have a little play with the adults for experience, that's nice. What happens if a CB does actually have to pull out? He gets to go to the World Cup so he can have himself a nice experience there, too?

And Harry Maguire needs a personalised conditioning plan? What the fuck does that mean? Fucking genius to pick an already mediocre defender that apparently still isn't even fit enough after a whole season of Premier League football ffs.

Wouldn't read too much into it, it's just the way they do things in terms of training now they have the St. George's Park complex for all the teams.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Lascelles gave his verdict on Benitez and said: “Since he’s been here everything has been positive.

“We need to do everything we can to keep him.

“We need him to stay.

“All the players respect him and all the fans love him so it would be crazy not to keep him happy.”

Lascelles wouldn't be the thing to break the camel's back with the fans, but if it is for Rafa and he leaves, if that's not the thing that does it with the fans, nothing ever will.
