Well at least Sunderland have done "something" and sacked Advocaat. Allardyce has clearly improved them. They're clearly staying in this division despite being utter s***.

They aren't clearly staying in this division at all and I don't think Allardyce has improved them much at all

In what aspect has Allardyce improved them? They were shit against us last week but plucked out a win. They took that momentum into the early stages of todays game then went back to being shit. Got a lucky break with that Defoe goal, took that momentum into the 2nd half and turned shit again.

Bournemouth try and play decent stuff but without Wilson and Gradel they don't really have any cutting edge and at the other end they always look likely to concede especially with the pair of knackers they have to choose from in goal. We couldn't ask for a better fixture next week.

The most damning indictment of Sunderland's performance was we weren't even that good today, we just played well after eventually getting to 3-2/4-2. We were there for the taking but their heads went down as soon as went 3-2 up. Their defending/lack of effort/organisation was pathetic, although ours at times wasn't much better.
