With the Blobster in net we are going to need to score at least 3 to get something.

This. We'll need at least 2 goals to win this. Is Darlow not ready to come back yet or failing that just hoy a traffic cone in there instead.

I can't think of a goal that Elliott should have saved yet TBH. I agree he's relatively crap, but I'm not sure he's worth as many goals against as people think

People going way over the top about Elliott. It's what the board does.

Defeat.

When it comes to tough physical sides we always come off second best.

Teams you have to "graft" a result off, those hard working sides! When we face these types we don't have the aggression or battle in us.

Im expecting the usual good first 45 when everyone is at their fittest, then the decline will begin second 45 then resort into give up mode, and excuse mode.

Feel sorry for some of these new lads Gini,Mbemba who have walked into a team that needed major surgery long before they arrived, and now they are becoming part of it.

Are Stoke really that physical these days? Colback and/or Anita should be able to run rings around Whelan and Adam. Bojan, Arnautovic, Shaqiri and Diouf are another issue mind.

Elliott is shite and a liability, watching him is like watching time lapse photography.

That's what I think as well.

Got to look at the defence and also have a look at how many Krul has conceded and get a bit of perspective.

When it comes to this game, we are now back in the 'must win' category, both for the club and McClaren ; lose this and we are well rooted to the bottom, esp if the Mackems manage a point.

Any impetus gained by the freaky Norwich result has been neutered by the shambles at the SOS and a loss to Stoke would compound the problem 100%.

Its going to be very interesting....

They are more physical than us, and the only way Colback will run rings around anybody is if his legs are chopped off and replaced with bionic ones.

He's up against Charlie Adam and Glenn Whelan for Christ sake. Stoke aren't a bad side but their centre mid pairing is every bit as bad as ours, arguably worse in some respects.

I'm not even sure Colback is available for selection, but both him and Anita play mainly as sitting midfielders in any case, so I just don't see them running rings round anyone. That will be left to Wijnaldum and Sissoko as usual.
