WBA v Newcastle United - Monday 28th December 2015, 3.00pm

Recommended Posts

There's not much we can realistically do for rotation. I'd go with:

                        Elliot

Janmaat - Mbemba - Coloccini - Mbabu

                Anita - Colback

      Sissoko - Wijnaldum - Thauvin

                      Mitrovic

And it'll be minging, miserable 1-0 defeat. Berahino.

We need a left back who doesn't treat the ball like a hand grenade and McClaren needs to try something different in midfield.

I think Anita has proven himself not to be a problem in himself, but rather not functioning with Colback's lesser brain besides him. He should try Moussa or Gini with Anita, or try to get Tioté running again.

Still don't see the point in violently removing Abeid.

Wahey!  Rare chance to see some weekday football.  Reckon we'll get something here,  1-2.

Wouldn't mind seeing Perez up top with de Jong playing off him if Mitrovic is injured.  Midfield three of Sissoko,  Anita and Wijnaldum would be better like but I can't see that happening.

4 for them, 3 for us.

Colo, Mbemba and?

Dummett

Dummett isn't a CB.

He's not a left back either.

He is. But not a very good one...

Dummett is a centre back. He's certainly better than one of our centre backs at the moment. He has never been a left back.

Really like the look of that line-up. It would be interesting to see how Winjaldum looks in his actual position too.

Between Sissoko, Gini, Perez, Mitro, De Jong and Thauvin there is plenty to work with. That's what annoys me, we don't use the players at our disposal. Yet other teams, with worse players, constantly out play us.
