Zero
He is probably told being surplus by Howe. I am still shocked to see how this go through so fast - as if he wants the move for long

They'd have played very little. Loan fee sorted there plus £150k off the wage bill. Not to mention Wood’s potential transfer fee.

buzza
I think that we all know deep down that Shelvey COULD HAVE BEEN a great player for us. It is nobody else’s fault, apart from his, that he has not achieved this. We have seen patches of form here and there but the bottom line is that he has consistently been average with a few peaks in between. No love lost here

Big River
one of the most overrated players we’ve ever had. delighted to finally see the back of him!
Kid Icarus
Proper marmite player. I was one of the ones who really liked him. I liked what he was doing under Howe and what he might have been this season after trimming down and having a manager who could get the best out of him. A bit moody and misunderstood, but aren't we all! Good luck to him.
Andy
Poor for the majority of his time here, with the exception of a few purple patches that massive inflated fans' perceptions of him, especially the one towards the end of last season. He did a job when we needed him last year and helped keep us up - grateful for that, but this is absolutely the right time to sell.
Hanshithispantz
Thought he was really good last year, he was better than I thought he would be at nipping in and winning balls in the middle of the pitch and he was very tidy in getting the ball forward. A nominal fee seems a bit odd like given Forrest just paid £15m for Wood. He technically has over a year left on his contract so it’s not like Forrest could have just waited until the summer. We should be getting at least £10m for him surely?

He was good in the Championship in games when he could just sit back and ping balls forward. Turn the team around and he’s shocking, he literally can’t turn. Not only this, but having 1 player doing nothing but sit there hoping to ping balls across the pitch is going to leave you a player down for the majority of games in the Premier League. I honestly don’t think he’ll be good enough for Forest this season, but if they do go down then he would be a key player for them next season. Lush Vlad
I have flip flopped on him a few times. I loved him for a good while. Even when it seemed unfashionable to do so on here. Then it got to the point where I didn't want him to play for us again. I think it was after the daft, brainless red card for two yellows against Spurs. He returned to a bit of form under Howe and looked to be really working to fit into the system. It might of been a case of the ol 'absence makes the heart grow fonder.' But I wanted him starting earlier this season and thought we were missing him at one point. But I don't think he was ever right for what Howe is trying to build in midfield and if he is on £80k a week. Then those wages can certainly be put to good use on a better and younger player. Mahoneys Tache
My forest supporting mate is horrified. I think they are buying him as much for his experience and maturity (for a given value of mature) and to help all the youngsters as they are a player on the field. KDT
I see Forest are already having to loan out 2 of their signings from last summer, Toffolo & O'Brien. Dennis has been pretty bad as well, the scatter gun approach not really working.

If you'd told Forest after the Play-Off Final they'd be 13th after half a season they'd have bitten your hand off. I don't think they'd have been anywhere near that if they'd not done what they have. Yep. I think being where they are after having to basically buy an entire squad in the summer is testament to how good the manager is. If they're a bit more settled next season they might be even higher.
Consortium of one
I was an ardent hater of his but, imo, he redeemed himself somewhat with his fitness and play last year. Had he been healthy from the start i think the club would have been happy to extend him. But, since he wasn't I'm sure the club told him that he's no longer in our plans for next year so he'd likely sit and not trigger the extension. Wood and Shelvey are both part of a limited rebalancing which I'm fine with. Just surprised that it came in January and with Shelvey, this late in the window. Hopefully someone is queued up to replace.
