Will never understand how he looked so shit for us and/or never got any sort of chance. Always seemed a very solid player throughout his career from what I saw He looks about 50 years old, that probably counted against him. Doumbia got 30 mins over 3 games and written off Well the reason that you said, Gayle has shown potential in Premier League by having something like a 1 in 3 record in the Premier League, whereas Doumbia hasn't done anything in a top league. Rafa was manager of our club for about 2 months at the end of the season and didn't even include him in a squad after his first game. He had Obertan on the bench before him. Gayle wasn't available back when we signed Doumbia. We went with Mitro and Perez to provide the goals ahead of Doumbia probably because they were considered our assets over the longer term. Aye and what I don't get is where the doubt comes from. He had like 120+ career goals and 16 in the champions league (in a team from a "shit" league, no less). The whole "hasnt done anything in a top league" stuff is BS for me, that's probably why. Not like the Russian premier league is the level of the conference.
