Bimpy474
Thinks it's as much as them as it is us playing hardball for the £2m like.
Ryan
Just need to bite the bullet and pay it unfortunately. If we get Townsend in it massively improves a chances of going up in which we'll then gain a ton of money anyway.
Menace
I must be one of a few that don't want him back. He fucked off without even thinking about it, why should he come back as if nothing happened.
Foluwashola
Negotiations innit. Bit of a joke if we're basically for his wages while he was there as well as giving them a refund, not that I care.
number9shirt
If we pay the loan fee & the release clause will this make Andros our record signing at £27m ?

Guest reefatoon
Fat Sam will be wanting an extra turret built on his castle that Ashley paid for, hence the extra 2 Mil.

Jokes aside it wouldn't surprise me at all if Ashley was haggling on this because Allardyce made a fool of him about that house.

Guest
I bet Ashley thinks sacking Allardyce was the biggest mistake he's ever made as owner here.
TRon
I bet Ashley thinks sacking Allardyce was the biggest mistake he's ever made as owner here. I don't see why. He's been sacked by West Ham and England since then. His reputation is as a relegation specialist, that pretty much tells you all you need to know about his standing in the game. He's never been relegated from the PL I presume he means escaping relegation and by this you know he's a shit manager because he's always in and around the relegation zone. Guest chopey
How about we tell the pair to f*** off and wave at them on the way past soon Starting to feel a bit like this, however he would improve us to the point that it makes our first 11 the best in the league
Tsunami
If we get Townsend and Palace make a 2M profit I'd take that. Palace have just paid around the same amount for a defender who can't defend but can run and sometimes scores goals; quite often when he shouldn't be anywhere near the positions he gets into. Have to say though that we still need a good midfield player more than we need Townsend right now. God help us if anything happens to Shelvey. Rafa must see this. Guest
To be fair, Palace wouldn't have got him for just £12m if it hadn't been for the clause. Bet it would have been nearer £17-18m normally.
