It's obvously hilarious that Palace keep losing but they're not seriously going down.

#1 objective is Newcastle so it has to be a Palace win (although I know some of us actively want relegation, which is understandable).

If they lose to Sunderland they are in massive trouble

They have a very tough run of games after that

The way this season has gone next season could be spectacular. He'll no doubt claim he needs to sign more players in key positions as that is what cost them, then he'll go and spend it all on garbage and left backs. If he doesn't repeat the strong start he had this season they'll struggle I think.

Wonder if Bolasie is interesting anyone.

Mark Douglas has his say.

"The problem with allowing those excuses to be freely disseminated is that it damages United’s reputation. It makes it a harder club to sell externally – both to players and potential managers. Souness’ version – just like Pardew’s – is about excusing their own mistakes."

Does it really matter?

Yes

Shouldn’t we all just move on?

No

Of course it matters. It debunks this narrative that Ashley employed a competent manager hamstrung by an owner - which goes on to serve the argument that not only is Ashley neglectful of strengthening the team but also can add another to his litany of shit appointments. He's every bit proof of Ashleyism as the other patsies still here.

He'll not go until at least half way through the season, he'll either start badly and go on a run that takes them into the top half or he'll start the season flying and everything will be forgotten until he goes on another rancid run of "bad luck". The man is fucking Teflon.

Just wait until he's sacked and we get him back [emoji38]

It is funny to see his downfall starting and the realisation setting in among other fans. He's a shit manager that gets a bit of luck for a while but has no idea how to make it sustainable.

The talk of England will have gone to his head and the super ego kicked in. Cunt of the highest order. We might have a dribbling simpleton in charge now but at least it's not this arsehole

Charners says we're fine anyway so what does it matter if the Mackems win? If the board aren't worried about going down then there's no reasons for fans too as nobody knows better than them.

If we go down the board will be like: "But, but, but, look at all the money we spent". Seems that's the answer to every question. "Why is failure accepted at NUFC? We spent a lot this window!"
