Newcastle United 2-1 West Ham 16/01/16 - Post-match reaction from page 31

Our players did some incredible stupid decision when we should have just kept posession and run down the clock. Why the hell did Gouffran ran to take the corner?

And then he and Shelvey had shots from desperate positions. Cant believe that. Then again, we should have been out of sight long before that. So many chances missed.

If we had got the a third we probably would have looked more settled that half. Mitro was mish mash of unlucky and shit.

Glad we got the points though, badly needed.

Shelvey looked great until but he took the gloss off his performance with this 3 or 4 shit long range efforts in the second half.

Saviet, can't really remember him doing anything great nor shit.

I really don't want Gouffran to ever play for us again. He's fucking useless. Hoping Townsend is coming in to banish him from the side.

We badly need another proven goal scorer. Mitro will be awesome in a year or two, but in our current relegation battle we need goals.

It seems like we played well and tried to shoot ourselves in the foot with a terrible back pass and allow them back into the game.  It happens, but at least we managed to hang on this time.  We have actually been playing reasonably for a while now, so hopefully we'll have just about enough to claw ourselves out of it.

Good win. But we seriously need to start putting games to bed. We are so fragile it laughable really.

This result will help. We're just so used to let downs that the panic sets in. The manner of their goal didn't help either!
