That "commiserations" thread there made me wonder how actual other fans took their relegation

Found a man city forum thread then got bored so didnt both searching for more.. but: http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/sunderland-relegated.328143/

"Feel for all the fans, they deserve far better."

"They have a great support up there and the size of the club should attract good enough players to come back up."

"Hope they bounce straight back up, great fans, great club and a great day out"

"hopefully they'll come straight back up next season with a bit of momentum behind them"

"Genuinely sorry to see them go down for reasons already mentioned on this thread"

"Here's hoping they'll be straight back up."

:serious: the fuck is with their love in

Look on Red cafe. My enemy's enemy is my friend.

I'll go with what other fans have told me, nobody minds them as a club but they play crap football and they like to go there so they can spend time in Newcastle.

The Mackems are desperate to be relevant  because they're overshadowed by us- regardless of which division either of us are in.

It's little brother syndrome.

It's more than just football though, that's why you're right in saying it doesn't matter what division either of us are in.

The season of the Augero title winner against QPR, Man United were playing at Sunderland and when the scores came through the mackems did the Poznan and celebrated City winning the league.

Their love in with Feyenoord is very strange; Feyenoord are about to win the League and there are S'land congratulating like some kind awe struck kid brother wishing it was them; no make that it should be them and if it were they'd do it better.

I'm sure these Feyenoord fans love the adulation they get from an English club. Very very strange.

£15m plus add-ons is probably the most they will get.  He's massively overrated on there, he's a good shot stopper but anything with quality (King's effort on Saturday) and he looks absolutely helpless.

He's effectively England's 4th/5th choice keeper for the foreseeable future as well.

If Pickford is as good as they reckon then somewhere like Everton would probably be the most realistic destination for him.

He isn't though. Just a current media darling which means his good moments are highlighted and his deficiencies are brushed over.

Decent but really nothing special.

Depends on what you define as special. If special is different then you'll be hard pushed to find another English keeper as good as him with the ball. His distribution skills are really good, he's easily their best passer of a ball which tells its own story.

All you here is goalkeepers being critisised for being shot stoppers only, well here's one with something else to his game and it's this that makes him different....special is probably too far, but there's big interest in him due to unique skill set. He is a footballer as well as a keeper, something Pep at citeh seems to rate so highly he shipped out England's No1.

You've obviously seen a lot more of him than I have.

From what I have seen the hype outweighs the substance. We'll see.

As a goalkeeper he's average premiership, unsure if that turns in to anything special or not but he has a lot of time on his side. But as stated it's the other side of his game which is usually none existent in English keepers which sets him apart from other keepers.

Everton would be perfect for him right now, and he's improve them massively.

Pickford is like Stone. There is potential and some unique talents that he could be something but he still need fucking lot of improvements.  If any big teams come to grab him up this summer then thats it.  Finished.
