last_monetarist
Desperately trying to convince myself not to imagine how it'll be if we stay up. That Wijnaldum miss could may well come to haunt us at the end. Feel we need 10 points from the last 4 matches, implying that we either have to beat Liverpool away or Spurs at home in the final game. Scotty66
He's really making his impact now. The team is so compact and organized in defence we're actually difficult to break down at times. So strange saying that I just can't see him walking away from it all. The fact that he appointed himself as manager for his son's team and went to see Milan train on his honeymoon clearly indicates a man totally in love with football. The only obstacles are Spain job(major worry for me),Valencia Job(current man seems to be doing well so might get it full time) and Ashley not willing to pay him a half decent wage.(highly likely)
NEEJ
What a man. He's made me proud to be an NUFC fan again, even if it may only be a very temporary stay. If he keeps us up, man.

His interview a couple of weeks back filled me with dread when he said he hasn't even bothered to meet Rafa. Don't think Rafa wants a job in Spain right now if he has decent options in England. He's definitely not at a stage in his career where he'll be satisfied coaching in international football.

I can't really think about this, it's too much. I'll literally move home and buy a season ticket like.

Stuy_O
I fear us without him. Me too, but even if his stay his short he will have had an impact. On both players and how the club operates.

Ketsbaia
He's just outstanding. I have complete faith in everything he does and he's making the improbable seem possible. He's made this team unrecognisably good and you can see how much they believe in him. Absolutely love the bloke.

I think thats going slightly OTT but I'd love if a manager of his calibre was prepared to drop down and build something, no matter where.
Ronaldo
He's an utter class act and easily the best person to be associated with us since Bobby's sacking.
wacko
Seeing as youse lot have finally achieved the ultimate enlightenment in realising that Rafa is the one true god above all others, could some mod/admin see their way to going over to the "Parky vs [LFC manager here]" thread and retroactively awarding our lot the additional billion points we clearly should have had from said deity's tenure at our place? Mr. Snrub
I love the man. He's a genuine nice guy and a manager who I'm proud to say is manager of Newcastle United. First time I've said that since Sir Bob. He even donated 100k out of his own pocket for the Hillsborough cause, a real class act. And as someone who frequents Liverpool anyone I've spoken to has nothing but good to say about the man, despite selling Alonso and ruining the the best midfield in Europe. last_monetarist
Still feels a bit surreal that this guy is our manager. We were unrecognizable today, so compact and organized. Let down by having no quality up front, of course, but the signs were there of a stable base to progress long-term. Alas, time's running out.
Stifler
A couple of days ago I turned SSN and on the side of the screen they had an advert with Rafa and Pellegrini, I was thinking who does Rafa manage now? It took me a few seconds to realise that it's us, surreal.
mrmojorisin75
Best in-game manager we've had imo. Yep, Cisse kept giving it away, not holding it up at all in the 2nd half. He spotted it early and made a change. It's nice to see our manager do that and not wait like a idiot (Steve) or make baffling ones (Pardew) Said this to my mate in the pub, Citeh were all over us from kick off second half and I said we need Mitro on ASAP or we're fucked. Lo and behold he was there ready to come on, what is this sorcery? Incredible difference Benitez has made on this team man, going to break my heart when we go down and he gets the Spain job or whatever.
