Lenny
He's too pragmatic at times. With Hughton we knew we had the greater ability compared to the rest of the division and played with an authority as a result. Benitez doesn't seem to have the agression to do the same. There seems to be a lot of romanticising about how that season went. Granted we appear to have been better then than we are now, but the first half of that season certainly wasn't clean sailing all the way through. There were a few dodgy results and unconvincing wins. midds
Needs to be far more flexible in his approach, especially to home games. 4-2-3-1 simply isn't working at home, it's too negative, it's too defensive and it's too safe, it's leaving the onus on 4 or 5 players to break down 9 or 10 men and the results are there to see. Gayle is isolated and we end up passing it around the box and in the middle third. I'd go so far as to say that if he persists with it for every home game regardless of opposition then the points we drop will cost us promotion. He's got to take the shackles off. I don't understand why he's so happy to rotate the players, but is so incessantly rigid with the system.
High Five o
We all knew what we got with Rafa. He is defensive minded. I just hope he can learn, or at least try to be more offensive at home. Still love the man
Gallowgate Toon
Seems less formational, to me, and more about working with the players' mentality. We're not mentally tough enough to go more defensive after being well on top, against the better sides. He has to be more flexible to build their confidence. Norwich journo was saying they'd not faced this kind of pressure all season, same with Villa. We have the quality.

Pilko
This bulletproof, do-no-wrong image is quickly fading away. Complete and utter piss take today. Poor team selection, awful change of mentality at 1-0, and then a complete lack of any changes at all until 1-3. He needs to stop this turgid shite at home because it's clearly not working. We're almost a quarter of the way into the league season and we're miles behind where we should be.
Tooj
With Hughton we knew we had the greater ability compared to the rest of the division and played with an authority as a result. We didn't really until we'd signed Routledge in the January.
Tooj
Trying to play far too safe at home is the problem. Really frustrating. I'm not saying he's infallible but the players need to take a hell of a lot of responsibility for the chances that they've missed to kill games off. Decky
Rafa needs to be judged like any other manager now regardless of his reputation. We've got some of the so called lesser sides coming up now and we need to sort ourselves out.

AyeDubbleYoo
Thing is, we're creating plenty even with the starting team tonight. Just missing chances, the manager can't make them finish. Should've crushed villa and Norwich.
