Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

Is he even that good, Gameiro? His record is canny average in Spain.

His record is actually really good when broken down into minutes per goal, he just seems to miss a lot of games, even at Sevilla for one reason or another. Got 12 in 19 full games last season, 16 in 23 full game the season before, 8 in 10 the season before that and 14 in 21 before that in Spain.

Tosun is on Benitez’s list of possible striker targets in January but it’s understood that the price quoted for the Turkey forward is too expensive at the moment. Besiktas are quoting around £17million for the striker

Cheap until the bitter end. Get the fuck out.

Just seemed like a decent all around striker who has good movement and looked powerful and knows where the goal is and can score header and with both feet. Saw his CL games only so far but just liked him.

£17m is too much money apparently. Jesus Christ, this is the market now. Either put up the money, Ashley, or get the hell out of the club and let somebody take over who doesn't just have wallpaper.

£17m is absolutely fuck all for a striker in today's market, you can be quoted that for a championship player these days. It just shows how low our standards have become under Ashley, and why we are struggling to score goals with one forward who cost £1m, and another leading the line for £5m.

Dunno about Shaw but I think Rafa could really revive Barkley's career, if that's what the lad really wants. The package to get him will be large, but not in net terms because the fee will be so low. Everton missed the boat on that one this summer. Barkley needs to be playing regularly, and I don't think the big name teams can offer that. If he just wants to sit on the Man U bench, then that's up to him.

There’s no way Barkley will come here, takeover or no takeover. He’ll have far better options.

There's a player in there. He'd be our best left-back by some distance. Hardly the first youngster that would have to leave Mourinho to prove himself.

Bakambu linked in the Chronicle again.

Saw him score at the Nou Camp back in May, looked a decent option tbh. 9 goals in 14 games this season too apparently.

Guessing this one depends on the takeover

I'd much rather us go for Loftus-Cheek than Barkley, like. Obviously it's a big if, but if we're taken over before January if at all, he's the sort of player that would improve us a lot.

Shaw should be avoided like the plague.

Imagine a cross between the worst parts of Michael Owen and Celestine Babayaro. That is Shaw

So he's a lazy, arrogant, smarmy, selfish little cock with no personality and he's also like Babayaro?

What's the situation with Loftus Cheek? He's on a season long loan right? Can these now not be recalled? Or is this possible? I've got no idea tbh.
