loki679
John Beresford
Ronaldo
Bernard at his best was brilliant both going forward and defensively. Injuries, Souness (and other factors) ruined him. Real shame.
Guest
Didier Domi, Bernard, Enrique. Anybody who deputised there under SBR did the job relatively well. Domi was very underrated for us Imo. Crossing was fantastic. Amazing how many assists for Shearer he seemed to get in Shearer The Legend DVD.
Guest firetotheworks
It's probably more that I need to refresh my memory, but at the time I thought Enrique was better than Beresford. Defensively 1 on 1 he definitely was, but I'm not sure about the rest anymore.

Loved Bernard. Such a great player for us until wanker Sourness flogged him (and most of our other players).
Wallsendmag
Bernard and Robert down the left hand side were excellent. That moment they had down at Leicester remains one of my fondest memories of watching NUFC.
TRon
It's probably more that I need to refresh my memory, but at the time I thought Enrique was better than Beresford. Defensively 1 on 1 he definitely was, but I'm not sure about the rest anymore. Enrique and Bernard were the best two LBs in recent memory for me. Beresford was good, but I always felt he minced around a bit and could have done with being more direct with his running.

Yorkie
Aye fair play to Ritchie, upped his game a lot recently and is reemerging as a really significant player again.
Dinho lad
These shit signings by Rafa, man. Can''t wait until he signs players he rates.
xLiaaamx
So fucking clever. His movement really is brilliant. Play him anywhere in that 3 and he'll still just take up good positions and be a threat.
KaKa
A speedy full back on the same side as him clears a bit more room, and allows him to do more. Real chance to build some rapport with Yedlin, with Anita out for a while now.
Guest firetotheworks
It's hard not be a sarcastic fucking prick in situations like this like. Similar to the Murphy and Diame situations. We just need Perez to continue like this and eradicate my doubts and pretty much everyone apart from Sels and Colback will have really positively contributed. LV
Colback contributed massively today His biggest influence to date Yep, definitely the most effective game he's had.
54
5 goals in 3 home games now for this guy
CPL
Bernard was immense for us considering the lack of support he receieved from Robert. Still remember the finish from that lush pass from Viana in the SBR era.
Happinesstan
5 goals in 3 home games now for this guy Coming to terms with playing in front of 52000 fans? That bodes well for the future, could be a big player for us in the Prem (If we get promoted). We need players who can perform in front of big crowds, week in week out. Kanj
Could he ever play as a #10? Seems the only way we can get him in and around the box more? Just thinking out loud.
joeyt
Rafa shifted him to a #10 when Murphy came off today for what it's worth
Hanshithispantz
10 goals and 6 assists in 30 appearances I think. EDIT: Might be more assists.
U2
Rafa shifted him to a #10 when Murphy came off today for what it's worth Him and Sammy rotated the #10 and #7 positions for a while late on.
Kanj
Rafa shifted him to a #10 when Murphy came off today for what it's worth Yeah Joey, I saw that - but just wanted to hear some thoughts on if we could actually see more production out of him as a 10 versus out wide. I liked him there today.

I liked him there today. I think he's more number 10 than Winger. Good first touch and short incisive passing. Good Turn of Pace but not lightning quick. Can move with the ball but not going to beat 2 or 3 men. Drifts around into space a lot.
Scoot
Delighted to see this lad starting to score goals. He's starting to do what we signed him to do.
