More depth, more competition, more leadership, pinching him off a promotion rival. And £5m is buttons in today's market. Can't say I've really rated him when I've seen him at PL/Euros level, but it sounds like a useful enough signing as far as Championship cover goes.

Hanley and Clark both having the propensity to fuck up does make me a tad nervous, but you can't look away from the fact that we're building the best squad in the league by a long shot.

Danny Simpson - Premier League winner.

Moussa Sissoko - European Championship runner up.

Sometimes shit players work well in good teams.

Sissoko's not in a million years a shit player, though.

And neither is Simpson. He's average to decent.

Clark was arguably one of the worst defenders in the league last season, albeit in a very poor side so a winning mentality with better plays may change him.

Maybe pathetic was a bit of an over exaggeration from me, ha.

Guest chopey

He's one of them players that either gives away a penalty, gets sent off or scores an own goal virtually every time I watch him.

 spot on

So your saying he's an entertainer ?

Marc Albrighton couldn't even get a game at Villa and now he wears his Premier League medal in the bath (probably) so fuck knows how he'll do. I suspect he's more than good enough for a team going for promotion with a fresh start.
