Our tickets are sold out, but I am thinking of heading over and trying to get in Barnsley end. Anybody got any experience of Barnsley? Can you pay on the night?

I'd always advise against going in the home end.

Been in the wrong end a few times (Spurs, Derby, and twice at Joker Park, spring to mind). But will have to give this one a miss.

They've given a stronger than usual statement on this type of thing, for anyone else considering.

‘Barnsley v Newcastle United, Tuesday 18th October 2016, Oakwell Stadium, 7:45pm kick-off.

We would like to advise supporters that our upcoming game against Newcastle United on Tuesday 18th October has now been designated ALL-TICKET. There will be no tickets available from the turnstiles on the day of the game.

Please note: as the game has been designated all-ticket, supporters wishing to purchase tickets for the Newcastle United game must have a previous booking history and must have been on the Club database from the start of the 2016/17 season.

Barnsley supporters will be able to purchase a maximum of four tickets per person. We must also advise any Newcastle United supporters found entering the home areas of the stadium will be ejected without refund.

Tickets will be available to purchase for home fans online and from the Reds Superstore/BFC Box Office up until 5pm on Tuesday 18th October. With no booking fees, buying online is your most cost effective and convenient way to purchase tickets and you can opt to print your tickets at home or alternatively collect from the Oakwell Box Office up until kick-off.

Please be aware that tickets will not be available to buy from the Box Office/Reds Superstore or from the turnstiles after 5pm on the day of the game.’

I'm getting picked up at 9.30, having a full English at Wetherspoons in Wallsend, then heading over to the town for a few pints before our bus leaves at 2pm.

Barnsley away? I can't remember getting this excited for the back to back cup finals in the late 90s!

I'd be surprised if Gayle doesn't start every game possible like.

Assuming Rafa wants to keep everyone fresh, then this is the game you would expect him to leave Gayle out I would have thought.
