Ronaldo Vieira has a brother, Romario Vieira

Vieira was born in Guinea-Bissau but raised in Portugal, where he signed for the academy at S.L. Benfica, however, he left Portugal in 2011 with his family in search of a football career in England.

Vieira began playing football in England for Whitley Bay Boys Club, a local team in Newcastle.

There is no way that is a pen

Ball struck about 25mph from 1 yard away, arm in a normal position when jumping. Take his arm away and it'd of hit his torso anyway.

Think people need reminding the rule is that handball must be deliberate. There is no way he deliberately moved his arm to stop the ball then.

Aye, wish people would just learn the handball rule, it's not that difficult.

Very good up until the goal but we just stopped playing once it went in. Lucky to be ahead, frankly.

Expect we'll set up to try and pick them off on the break in the 2nd half. Outside of Gayle there's a real lack of pace in the front four though. I expect Rafa will ultimately want to replace Gouffran with a pacier option in that position but not sure he trusts Atsu for that yet.

We have dropped back 20-30 yards whereas in first half hour we were well up the pitch. Don't like sitting on leads like this, let's get another goal and up the pace.

Also have to say that Leeds were asleep for a good while.

The rule is pretty clear, but teams get penalties all the time for similar incidents. That's the problem.

The handball could have easily been given. The speed with which it came at him from such a short distance saved us, but it was definitely fortunate.

We played very well for most of the half without actually creating much, funny how the goal was an absolute gift despite all that. Leeds grew into it and caused problems from set pieces. We need at least one more to be sure of the points IMO.

The 'natural sway of your arm' argument doesn't really work when you're diving in to block the ball. He makes a situation where his arm is out away from his body when he knows the ball is coming his way, it's his choice.

He didn't deliberately stop the ball with his arm, so it's not a penalty. There is no way in that short distance with the ball travelling that fast he'd have the time to think and put his arm in front of the ball (also noting his arm was stationary throughout and didn't move towards the ball).

There is no argument here, it's just simply not a penalty.

That's not how it works. [emoji38]

It would have been soft, but it's definitely in the 'seen them given' category.
