Newcastle United 1-3 Fulham - post match fume from pg23 - 11/03/17

Recommended Posts

According to journos, we'd made a decent start. They just scored a good goal. Let's not panic.

Radio commentary calling us second best and calling out at least 3 Fulham attempts that they claim were close.

But that commentator is Anderson, so ya know....

How are we so shit at home. Players can't cope with the pressure of home expectations?

It's a mentality problem from some of the players, IMO.

It's all down to Rafa.

Commence meltdown.

No need for anyone to start getting on their high horses again.  Our home form is suspect, we have made sloppy starts to too many games and lost plenty as a result.  People can rightly be p*ssed off or frustrated by it.

Benitez needs to sort out how we start home games.  It is a problem and the fault lies with him imo.

Nah, I dont think theres a massive difference between the way he sets the team up home and away

Players need to take responsibility

In what sense?  Do you think it is acceptable to sit back and give the onus to the opposition at home?

We have to be defensively aware yes, you have to show respect to the opposition

Fulham are in good form, counter attacking football is whats beaten the teams around us in the essential games recently and put us top of the table

Why do people keep saying a draw at home is a decent result they should be putting teams like this away comfortably at home.

Because the way we are set up suits us better when we are away from home and can sit back and hit on the counter. It's there in black and white if you look at our results this season.

In three away games against three better teams than Fulham.

That's why we have 23% possession at home? Aye, OK.

We average some of the highest shots and possession for a home side in the league. Any claims we regularly sit back are unfounded, imo.

We do, it's the start of games where we seem to let them have it. We seem to take a while to get going.

Dummett, Colback and Anita, got us relegated and are still picked virtually every week. Rafa what the fuck are you thinking?
