wormy Posted yesterday at 00:50 Share Posted yesterday at 00:50 That chances created per 90 is disgusting. I love him. Never a world beater. Hell, no matter how good a shift he'd put in I never wanted him to be a regular starter. The kind of player whose weaknesses shine through from an extended run. But he's sure as hell earned his spot so far this season.

But he's sure as hell earned his spot so far this season. He has had a long extended run now and has great stats to show for it. 19 goals/assists over 2050 minutes the last 2 seasons in the PL. Keep getting underestimated no matter what this guy. Edited yesterday at 05:33 by Displayname
Menace Posted yesterday at 06:50 Share Posted yesterday at 06:50 Happy he's hitting some form in a position we're seriously lacking. Yeah he's limited, yeah we need an upgrade, but if he can maintain this form until we find a better starter - everyone wins.

Strikes the ball well a lot of the time, just particularly unlucky. Must have the highest ever ratio of games/minutes played against hitting the goal frame

RS Posted yesterday at 10:03 Share Posted yesterday at 10:03 He’s consistently inconsistent. For every decent thing he does there about 5 “ffs” moments. Seems like a nice lad though.
The Butcher Posted yesterday at 10:12 Share Posted yesterday at 10:12 Can't believe he's turning 30 in less than two months. Acts and plays like a 23 year old
joeyt Posted yesterday at 11:23 Share Posted yesterday at 11:23 Him hitting the crossbar and also passing to Isak when he was offside instead of shooting felt like it summed him up a bit. Can't help but love him though and he's certainly contributed to our change in fortunes. Keep going Jacob
Lotus Posted yesterday at 11:27 Share Posted yesterday at 11:27 Worth his (hopefully low) wages as a squad player. Sets the benchmark for effort and team ethic for whoever comes in. But, a clever player-maker in his position would make us very scary indeed.
STM Posted yesterday at 11:55 Share Posted yesterday at 11:55 You can see when a game is tight where his problems lie, he just doesn't have the speed of thought or technical ability under pressure to play the cute stuff that Tonali, Bruno or even Gordon can. To be fair, even Joelinton can struggle with this aspect but Joelinton gets away with it because he can physically hold people off where as Murphy can't. Once a game opens up, his pace, crossing and shooting is really decent. We need someone of a different class to play there long term but credit to him for making the most of this chance. Emotic
Look at the match cam and he's chatting animatedly with the wee mascot as the team is being led out and afterwards crouching down with a big grin on his face next to the mascot. He's just a big happy kid revelling in his purple patch and I love him for that.
Zero
Glad that he stepped up these few weeks. Hope his form continues till the end of this season - we need a result badly
