54
What is his market value right now? Given how productive he's been for the last 18 months and that he has 2 years still on his deal. £50m? £60m?

For someone who has been providing consistent end product pretty much since Howe took charge and had more than 20 G/A last season across all comp? Not that controversial is it? Newcastle Fan
I remember absolutely hating Murphy in his first few seasons with us and now he's one of my favorite players, this new version of him in the last couple of seasons has everything you need from a winger and he does everything he can for the team. I watched him a lot when he was on loan at Coventry years back. He looked decent, but was so lazy at times and did not look arsed at all. Crazy to see how far he's come and I'm over the moon for the lad.

Not sure it was really, it was a good cross, but big Nick still has to take most of the credit for it, not easy to generate power leaping as high as that. But Murphy did have a good game, did all the right things and didn't waste much. Elanaga has been erratic so Murphy definitely deserves the nod for now. Bit harsh, Murphy has the ability to put balls in so the keeper has to make a decision to stick or come for it, the fact he's happy to start or be a sub is a rare quality in modern football.
