I knows he's maximizing his potential, but I can't wait to replace this guy.

The best way to maximise his potential would be to sell him for an inflated fee after a blockbuster season. But that won't happen.

Yeah, me too.

He's such a huge handicap in our half.

I’ll never be able to reconcile having a starter in our 11 who isn’t a good footballer. Sadly, Murphy isn’t a technically gifted player. He has some great attributes and he’s maximised them all but some of the most fundamental characteristics for any outfield player should be their ability to hold onto the ball under pressure, their ability to carry the ball and their ability to play a range of passing, included weighted passing. This lad doesn’t really have any of those skills. He has an excellent cross, he is fast, he can strike a ball well, but it’s just not enough

I can't be too hard on him as he's contributed far more than i expected last two seasons and he's a far better option than Almiron.

We've been needing a top quality RW for years now however, has to be adressed this summer.

In FM we would look very lopsided in the team report where you would have Isak with 4.5 stars, Tonali and Bruno with 4 stars, Gordon, Joelinton, Botman, Tino and Hall on 3.5 stars, Burn, Schar, Willock, Barnes, Miley, Trippier and Targett on 3 stars, and then you’d have Murphy, Pope, Dubravka, Longstaff and the rest on 2.5 stars or below.

He’s fucking appalling. Weak as piss, cannot pass a ball, just shite. Purple patch aside, similar to Almiron.

Cannot pass a ball? He's probably the best crosser in our team man

He’s very sloppy on short passing sometimes.

His final ball is great. If his replacement simply matched Murphy’s open play G/A I would be happy.

his general passing is awful for the level we are aiming for. His general ability to retain possession- pressure or no pressure - is so awful for the level.

Murphy’s work rate + goal/assist output + actual football ability + good injury record is a very good player mind. He’ll be hard to replace.

big part of why we're still in the hunt for Europe and also Isaks's numbers.

still needs replacing though.

Yep.  Said it loads on here since his return to the lineup and him playing well.  But he's made me yearn for our new right wing signing to be an actual right footer who.  Due to the width he brings and the fact Isak seems to love playing with a genuine winger.

He is such a bad footballer. We need to sell him in the summer whilst we can get a decent fee for him just like we should have sold Miggy after his purple patch. We won’t, he will be anonymous next season and we will barely get a penny for him

A winger at this level that trains most days of the week, and yet struggles to control the ball and dribble with it.

I just can't get my head round it. It's incredible really.

Now his crosses and forward passes have started falling apart too.

Very difficult to watch at the minute.

He goes through these spells and then wouldn’t surprise me if he’s got about 4 goals and assists in his next handful of games.

I can get my head round it because even during his purple patch I thought his possession and ball control was patchy at best. But his end product was winning points. But that sort of sloppy football loses you plenty as well, and it's a big reason we can't control games.

I'd be stunned.
