Huddersfield Town 1 - 0 Newcastle United - 20/08/17 (post-match from p37)

Recommended Posts

Honestly think the formation Rafa wants to play doesn't suit the players we've got.

Go 3 at the back and get some more bodies in midfield.

It makes no difference, we haven't got one premier league quality player. No pace, we can't pass, and we can't create or score goals.

No surprises, the players just aren't good enough, nowhere near good enough.

Nowt do to with how the manager sets his team up ofc.

Correct.

Same set up saw us holding together up the league runners up until humpty numpty got himself sent off after being 2 players down. He doesn't have the consistency of quality.

Yes, the multiple trophy winning manager with years of experience in the top flight is the problem.

That was one of our worst displays in ages. Seriously. Beyond Pardew levels.

Not a single decent attacking move against Huddersfield. Literally did well if we put together 4 passes in a row. Nuts.

Looking for positive rays of hope, thought Merino looked really good in the second half and Joselu has to start as we looked much better ( not hard mind) as a team as he can actually control a football.

Yeah both them and Murphy need to start next week.

Hopefully Yedlin as well. Ritchie always looked better with him on the pitch because teams have to respect his pace so Ritchie had that little bit extra time and space. Obviously it remains to be seen if Yedlin can impact games whatsoever but atleast he will add something going forward even if its the mirage of pace only. Hopefully the transfer window doesnt close without any help coming in, especially centrally.

Shambles at times, no organisation, players not even aware of what their jobs were from set pieces etc.... still can't string more than 3 passes together and no creativity.

I've been optimistic but after that, I think its going to be a season long relegation battle.

Surprising the amount of basic mistakes from a Rafa team mind.

They won with the only bit of genuine class in the match. At least last week we could point to the injuries, red card and opposition. This was a miserable match between two fairly poor sides. The officiating was crap too.

Couple of minor positives but this was definitely at least a point dropped if we're to stay up.

KI doesn't entertain anything that criticises rafa.

I don't entertain basic bullshit, you're right.

s**** but didn't deserve to lose the game.

This, Hudderfield only produced 1 chance, we never took ours.

Carragher saying they were clear winners - utter shit - we were both poor but as you say they took their chance.

No idea what everyone else was watching, I thought other than two 10 minute spells we were by far the better team.

I switched on at 63 mins and I saw them have proper possession of the ball twice. We created nowt, like, but we had all of the play.

No, it's the way you dismiss any critique of him.
