Shearergol
Arsenal should show some ambition. Make a counter bid of something like £30m plus Sanchez for Sterling. Lots of realism in this post. Can certainly see it happening.
Village Idiot
Coutinho crocked. Well, he was injured with Liverpool. Despite reports that he was feigning to force a move, over here it was reported that the injury was real.
Deuce
Per ESPN: Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez could complete a move to Manchester City by the end of the week after the two clubs opened talks over a deal, sources have told ESPN FC. The Gunners have given up on trying to persuade Sanchez, 29, to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, with the Chilean out of contract in the summer. Sanchez has made it clear that he wants to join up with Guardiola at City and ESPN FC has been told that Arsenal have decided to accept a transfer fee now rather than let him leave for free at the end of his contract. Infinitely Content
https://twitter.com/BurnleyOfficial/status/950722479261192192 Link not working but is that confirmation of their signing of Nkoudou from Spurs? Quick, energetic player, liked him when he was at Marseille. I thought him and N'jie would be big hits for Spurs but it hasn't worked out for either of them really. Infinitely Content
Interesting. Wasn't exactly a standout player at Boro a few years ago, and at Fulham too fwiw. Must have improved a lot recently.

Fedyan
Jorge Mendes tried to get the current Wolves owners to buy Milan iirc. Supposedly loaded, those guys. He did get Peter Lim to buy Valencia back in the day and must absolutely love those headlines about Rafa Mir Bauer is an interesting signing for Stoke. One of a handful players to earn any kind of praise for Rubin's shambolic first half of the season. Works his socks off, very consistent right back/winger. Nothing flashy, but will certainly get the job done for them.
Ketsbaia
If Wolves pull that off it'll be the final straw for me. Ruben Neves almost did it.
toon25
Wolves will crash and burn soon enough. FFP or a case of know-nothing owners getting bored will see the Mendes project fall flat on its arse. Sooner the better too. Rotten club.
joeyt
The Mayor of Liverpool has refered the Ross BArkley transfer to the policet investigate for fraud: The mayor of Liverpool has asked police to investigate whether any "fraud" has taken place surrounding Ross Barkley's transfer from Everton to Chelsea. Joe Anderson has written to the heads of the Football Association (FA) and Premier League following the 24-year-old England midfielder's £15m move. The "circumstance" of the deal "warrants serious investigation", said lifelong Everton fan Mr Anderson. Merseyside Police said Mr Anderson's letter "is currently being considered". In the letter, on his official headed notepaper, Mr Anderson expressed concern about the size of the transfer fee paid by Chelsea for Barkley. The Premier League champions had reportedly agreed to pay £35m in the summer, only for Barkley to pull out of the move to Stamford Bridge at the last minute. Noting that Barkley did not play "a single minute for Everton" in the time between these two negotiations, he said the player has seen "a decrease in value of more than one million pounds a week". He claimed: "At best, this represents a very poor deal for Everton Football Club. "At worst, it could be seen as a deliberate attempt to drive down a player's value in the transfer market so as to benefit the player, his agent and the buying club," Mr Anderson said. In the letter, Mr Anderson tells FA chairman Greg Clarke and Premier League executive chairman Richard Scudamore that he feels "it is right that the public receive an assurance on this matter". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-42626014
