Leicester look the most likely side to push the top six, they've bought some tidy players.

Dean Saunders on Talksport said Leicester and West Ham were his picks to go down this season.

Another one for the glue factory. Fuck me.

is there a good football radio talkshow at all?

Talksport has some decent presenters. They've got a bunch of nuggets too but that's generally the pundits.

Aye the presenters are fine but some of the pundits are so ill-informed its embarrassing for them.

Milik going to Betis apparently. Fekir and Milik to Betis in pretty surprising deals, Icardi going to Napoli then? Betis will have a fun team this season assuming their key players stay healthy. I wouldn't have minded seeing us going for Milik like.

On the verge on an eleventh, too.

A club on the brink of administration a short while ago and not having featured in the Premier League for three years with a £100m+ net spend.

Good signing for Villa bringing Luiz in for £15m. He was doing well for Vasco before the Man City move, but it must not have worked out for him.

They couldn't get a work permit for him.

I'll assume Villa can get one then! I think he will be a good signing for you, was a cut above in the Brazilian league although the better players usually standout due to the standard, but by all means has positive reviews from Brazil and also Spain with Girona.

It’s gonna be interesting. I think with their size and history, it’ll go well but it could be another Fulham orrrr West Ham who have been in a similar position and now the bastards are on course for safety pretty much every season.

It’s not too uncommon now. Most promoted clubs go for it and spend the TV money to try and compete. They also have very few assets who will go for huge money to affect their ‘net spend’.

So which is it for Villa? Will they do a Fulham or do a Wolves? The daft cunts could have guaranteed tenth if they just went with spending fuck all like we did. Crazy reckless gamble.

Had they given some money to Bruce and backed him financially when he was there they would have probably been in our position the last few years in place of us, Championship trophy, tenth and wherever it was we finished last season.

It will cost them billions to get to even match that never mind take them above where Bruce will have us this season.

I predict an early return to the Championship for Villa.

Like the mackems, they should never of let Bruce go and it seems they too are going to try and spend their way to try and stay up, money Bruce was never given when he was at those clubs. Not that he needed it, but it’s obvious both clubs have and are paying the price for not backing him with money when he was manager.

Catch us if you can mugs

We have the third richest owners in English football too, which helps.

The Sawiris family are eye wateringly minted and Wes Edens isn't short of a few quid either

Most importantly, they're not just throwing money in and hoping for the best, they've appointed a coach with a good paying style and the brief to get the whole club playing that way, appointed a head of recruitment (Pitarch) who has put together a Europe wide scouting system and put in place a CEO who has done the job at Chelsea and Liverpool.

Apparently they had two plans - players they wanted, basically - put together last season, one for if we stayed down, one for if we went up.

That's the sort of sensible spending we didn't have with Lerner, who threw money in and let MON run things

Exactly what Fulham fans were saying last Summer.

Came up thinking their spending and “playing style” would rip up the Premier League too.

Instead the Premier League ripped them up

Which I predicted :smug:
