Romano covers the whole of Europe he's not going to be breaking loads of stories first. He uses his sources to confirm or deny stories that other journos have released and has the best track record even if he waits longer for proper confirmation.

He gives credit to local journos who've broken the stories first but he is putting work in behind the scenes and very rarely gets anything wrong.

There's growing speculation that DCL's injury is a bad one. Everton could be totally fucked this season (what a shame). Thank fuck we didn't end up signing him, IF we were ever really interested of course.

Lyon also offered a denial when it came to Bruno

Wouldn't be surprised if the deal goes through in the next 24-48 hours

Brighton's a bit different from Lyon. Doesn't alter the fact he said everything was agreed and he was due in London, when that is obviously not the case.

As I said above he has a good and wide spread of contacts. He's mostly a tap in merchant though. Then again most are and he does get more right than most (not really hard to do though).

Wait and see.

No waiting to see, what he said today in his tweet is incorrect. If that changes in a couple of days, a week or the end of the window doesn't mean it's right now, as the Brighton statement clearly states. Anyway that's enough from me as I'm not one for blocking up threads

Someone at the club has told him the deal is done. Heads might roll, but someone has leaked it before it has been confirmed. Romano would never tweet that if it wasn't true.

Not sure why you're taking the clubs tweet as face value either. Last season our club was coming out with statements that contradicted what the clubs own manager was saying

Why are they different?

Brighton could have their own reasons for saying nothing is agreed. If the deal goes through in the next few days then Fabirzio was right

Looks like Cucurellas agent has liked the post now too and Romano has sticked it on his Twitter.

The Cucurella deal to Chelsea fucking stinks IMO. Spending that amount on a player who isn't even needed is just next level shite for the game. Chelsea would have left backs worth a 1/3 of our club ffs

Brighton just wouldn't put a statement out, they're not that type of club. You believe what you want to, but at this stage no deal has been agreed as per the Brighton statement.

It's Brighton who say yes or no. The agent no doubt wants the deal to happen. I'd believe Brighton any day over any agent or reporter

Never seen him play but there’s no chance Rice ain’t playing and Moyes loves Souchek so maybe he doesn’t think he’ll get enough football. Gueye has been linked a fair bit with the Ev. Lampard was impressed by how much l he hates the woke and said he’d give him the section 28 number in recognition.
