Transfer doesn’t entirely make sense to me.
Ok Kamara is injured probably until 2025 and he’s that replacement. Ok cool. But that’s an expensive replacemsnt. £15-17.5m for amortisation. Thats surely all the profit from the Diaby deal gone.

Kamara will cost 7.5m.

Meanwhile they still need to replace Diaby and Luiz.

Maybe I’m hating. It’s a good signing.

Feel like Villa are close to finishing their window and we haven't even started.

We’ve signed 4 players  likely only sign 2 more 3 if Wilson goes

I don’t think he meant it negatively. Also, saying 4 players doesn’t really tell the truth  Well, literally aye it does, but you get the point. We have plenty of time. Quality before quantity, and it will happen, no rush.

Villa always get their business done early. There’s no way I’d pay that sort of money for Onana. He does look way better for country than club though so I’m sure he’ll look a lot better at Villa

No I know just found the ‘we haven’t started’ bit funny we’ve signed more players than most premier league sides so far

We've also just appointed a new Sporting Director who specialises in recruitment who probably wants to get his feet under the table before signing off on any deals, as well as lost Staveley and Mehrdad who where also key parts of the transfer committee, so I imagine they'll be waiting for the dust to settle, before blowing a load over the transfer window.

True, maybe so, but for me we’ve only really signed one player that “counts” and that’s Kelly, if that makes sense. So I can see his point about us not even got started yet, which we haven’t really despite signing 4 players. We will get started properly soon though, no doubts about it.

I'm not sure he's coming in to replace Kamara, he isn't really a "six".

Bit jealous of Villa, maybe a fairly unpopular opinion but I really rate Onana, or at least what we can offer in a good team with a good coach

Huge, fast, athletic, eats up space when defending transitions, and is quite ambitious with his passing albiet deffo can be improved

Always thought a midfield 3 of Onana at the base, Bruno and then a more attacking midfielder as the other 8 would he such a good midfielder, with Bruno dropping deep to help orchestrate distribution

Fair. I always thought Luiz was more the passer and Kamara more the legs.

They’ve replaced the legs but not the passer was my thinking.

Is Onana press resistant with the ball? Always looked clumsy to me under pressure.
