Presuming he's moving for more minutes I don't see why he'd leave the Brighton bench for our bench.

 

What's his deal, anyway? I don't watch enough of other teams. So highly rated yet has barely had a sniff, despite Rutter only getting 2 goals himself so far this season.

Unless the loan agreement came with an option or obligation to buy I wouldn't want us to regardless of whether he wanted to and Brighton would loan him to us.

 

Southampton should be all over them if its a straight loan till end of the season. Would benefit all parties involved.

Fair. A quick glance showed he'd been available most of the season but just  seen it's been sandwiched between ankle problems so guess he might not have been 100% even when available.
