No idea how you have come to that conclusion on Felix given that he's failed in his last two Prem stints.

Because Villa is not as chaotic as Chelsea has been and Emery is very keen on signing him.

Villa are doing just fine. Both domestically and in the Champions League.

They've also positioned themselves to continue to be able to operate in the transfer market to try and improve their team.

And so I have no idea what you're on about.

They’re bang in trouble if they haven’t managed to substantially reduce their wages to turnover ratio this season.

The Felix signing is a bad one though IMO. Not even like for like.

Surely they don't want someone like for like though?

The whole narrative this season is that Emery only plays with one striker so signing someone who can play behind a striker makes sense.

Otherwise you've got two big earners for one position. Same with us with Barnes and Gordon.

Stinks of Villa being in the shit with PSR.

Also I’d be taking that £60m for Watkins, they’ll not get offered anywhere near that for him either in the summer or later.

Watkins and Duran have pretty much been neck and neck this season.

Are they not just clearing the way for the younger guy in Duran?

And getting a big fee for Watkins while they still can?

Have Joao Felix ever been quality after that breakthrough season at Benfica?

No idea. Definitely showed moments of class. Think he’d be well suited at Villa though.
