Keegans Export
2 hours ago, Conjo said: Isn't it only a pre-agreed fee that Leverkusen has to accept and allow Liverpool to talk to the player? Surely Quansah wouldn't be forced to join Liverpool if he didn't want to? Or does a buy back usually include pre-agreed terms with the player too, which the player might regret a few years down the line...? Surely it's just a club-to-club agreement? A club-specific release clause basically that the selling club would be forced to accept.

Optimistic Nut
Tony Bloom-ball on a watered down version up at Hearts. Braga the most expensive signing since 2007. Club record is still John Robertson from Newcastle when they gave us the money back that we paid for him for around £800k.

Quick look at Transfermarkt and taken with a pinch of salt, but they only list the top 100 transfer fees paid by Scottish clubs and they are ALL Celtic or Rangers. Number 100 is €2.8M for Steven Naismith in 2007/08.

When Hearts played Celtic in the final a few years back, lost on pens to them but Odsonne Eduard who played and scored for Celtic that day cost more than Hearts had ever spent in it's history at the time combined. Eduard only cost £8m. The gulf is ridiculous. Edited 6 hours ago by Optimistic Nut
GeordieDazzler
Romanov era was pre prices going mental and loads of the signings were players he already owned/represented via his Lithuanian club. That whole episode was mental like. Sacking a manager because you feel he’s getting too much credit ahead of yourself then replacing his with Rix

Just scraped 2nd ahead of Rangers in the end but blew the Champions League qualifier against AEK Athens. Heady times.

Shame, what happened to him, Man U? He played with huge names that he respected and looked up to at Juve, when he went to Man United he then felt like he was the big dog. He possesses an ego that is out of this world and hasn’t shown the personal growth required to mature past that point, shame as with a better head on his shoulders he could have been an all timer. Just looked, and they qualified for Europe when in 1st Division Can’t remember the striker they had who scored like 40+ each season.
