AyeDubbleYoo
Duran capitalising on a purple patch to make untold wealth. Smart lad.
ponsaelius
Obviously it's good money for him but Duran is really good with loads of room to improve and Watkins is on the way out physically. It's not far off us selling one of our blue chip players to Saudi tbh. Edited January 29 by ponsaelius

It’s like losing a superior Harvey Barnes or a young Trippier. He's their top scorer this season.

TBG
Keegan selling Cole this. Huge pressure on Emery to turn their season round.

ponsaelius
PSG are trying to sign him, and he'd probably start for them. Are they not a top European club?

Of course they are but I’d be surprised to see him start for them for any significant length of time. I don’t know who’s in their squad though. I assumed he’d be a rotation option for them. ponsaelius
He's quality for a 21 year old striker and proven he can do it in the PL. They're selling the future to pay for the now, which is what PSR does unfortunately. His attitude does stink - so it could go either way with him long term admittedly. It's a good sale but I'm not sure they do it if the mechanics of PSR were not in play. Edited January 29 by ponsaelius

ponsaelius
Emery has wanted Felix for ages so that makes sense. Not really a direct replacement though. Strange career Felix is having.

The Butcher
Would be good news for us if Villa spend a fair share of coon on Felix. He's bobbins.
GeordieDazzler
Felix’s career has been a succession of terrible decisions. Was Ronaldo’s heir apparent back in the day and now has just become a PSR bargaining chip.

Yeah he’s made a mint but there must be something galling watching the career you thought you would have just melt away from you.

True - I mean, it's not like they are selling a player in their spine Martinez - Pau - McGinn - Watkins He's been a big player for them this season but it's not like us selling Isak or Bruno Edited January 29 by The College Dropout

Geordie_once_removed
That would be a transfer I would endorse. Between the fee and the wages that would eat up a good chunk of the money and I'm pretty sure Felix's picture is on Google images when you search the term "Flatters to deceive". Duran for me is unproven and I'd be cashing in if I was Villa. Monchi and Emery have a great relationship and are obviously both wheeler dealers. What they are doing us what Rafa wanted to do with us so it's interesting to see from that POV.
