It’s just yet another example of the club not making money where it could be. Happy to be shown where that’s wrong in the accounts though.

They are making money from it though, in fact they should be making more than if they were doing it in house, otherwise their would be no point.

Can you show me in the accounts then?

His stuff reeks of Bishop paying him to get the blame shifted towards the players. Ironic he called Ryder a puppet considering he's clearly being one.

Still, what can you expect from a reporter of the biggest Tory rag there is.

Unless it did come from Rafa's camp, and it was orchestrated purely so Rafa could give that rebuttal in the press conference? Probably a bit contrived but who the fuck knows what's going on in this PR game.

Nope, it's not broken out, probably buried in the matchday income. There's just no reason we'd make no money from it though- it will either be a fixed payment a volume-based payment or most likely a combination of the two. It's not exactly controversial, anywhere I've ever worked with a canteen has outsourced those operations to a specialist.

You see, there's a reason I'm making this point. Scunny have just outsourced theirs, for the reason that it was actually costing too much to do internally and was failing badly - I know for a fact that the club are getting very little money from the arrangement; it's just a removal of something they have to think about for matchdays.

Fair enough, but in either case that's not a club opting to not make money, provision of refreshments is an obligation of the ground grading so ultimately making 400k instead of 200k or 100k instead of -100k is the same thing in terms of bottom line.

Mental to think they can't make a profit when charging £5 a pint, £5 for a crappy little beefburger, £4 for a pie and £2.50 for a bottle of Coke to a 52k captive audience.

I'm sure when the England Rugby team played at SJP a couple of years ago they took over 500k in beer sales alone.

I’m talking about a club selling chips to a crowd of 3k though.

TBF its Rafa's fault he didn't save us from relegation that season. A better manager would have made themselves available sooner and not run out of games like he did. Good job Mike was around to bail us out and cover over Rafa's mistakes.

Be careful, I'm not sure the journalists and club moles who read on here and social media have any grasp on even the most blatant sarcasm.
