1. “Sports direct is all he cares about” - as evidenced by protests, it’s not.

2. I want to bond with my son - like there aren’t a thousand other things that could be done

Wish people would consider that, collectively we could have more power to change a situation where all our kids might have an actual fucking football club to support in future, rather than putting their own self-interest first.

And I would wish people would stop getting on their soapbox's and pretending to be a better fan than another just because their opinion differs.

I'm not pretending to be a better fan or a better person. If anything, I'm a pretty shit fan, I've stayed away from games, I rarely watch games on TV. If you took that from my post then that's on you. If I wanted to be a better 'fan' that would probably mean going to every single game etc. etc. No, what I'm saying is, in the long run, if everyone adopts the attitude you have, then there will be no 'club' to speak of. What makes you think that Ashley will go in the next 30/40 years? What damage could de do in that time? What spurious fucking deals would he do to asset strip the club by then? Which fucking vultures will he have keyed in on deals by then?

What we essentially have as a club is a huge fucking sports direct store. People think of the fans as customers, but they're not. They're actually the equivalent of staff, paying for the privilege to be working there, grateful for a fucking job, fearing that someone else will come in and take it. The only ways to get rid of this cunt is to collectivise and make a stand, or hope and pray that some 'nice' businessman will buy us off him and wipe the slate clean.

And if you're happy with that, then fine, but he won't be leaving as long as you turn up and hand over your cash.

Maybe it’s the tone some posters use, you start off with a decent argument then throw in loads of effing, Ive noticed a lot of negativity towards posters who choose to still go lately and you should try and respect their views, they aren’t the real enemy, some just can’t stop the habit.i get what you are saying but in truth too many just roll up and can’t see sense  , however it’s their choice , lower the tone ?

Apologies for the language - it isn't mean to be directed personally at anyone. I could generally do with swearing less so fair enough.

I've said my bit on this. What do you do if your son/daughter wants and enjoys going to the match? They don't know how much of a knob Ashley is and to be honest they probably don't care.

I honestly admire people who boycott games particularly those with season tickets. If Ashley is still here next season I will stop going as will my son. He will be gutted though, he just wants to see Newcastle play football.

Well, I'm sure a fair few of us growing up in the Keegan era experienced difficulty getting tickets for the game. I mean, I'm fairly sure that there was a massive gap between me being taken by my dad in the standing days as a very young kid (so I'm told), to my first memorable trip which was a cup replay I think. I still managed to grow up toon daft, checking teletext, listening to the radio, spending money on annuals and panini etc. In fact, the idea that kids have to see them to be a fan is ridiculous. Going is/was a massive rush for kids, but buying a season ticket just legitimises what Ashley is doing to the club. Why contribute to the decline of the club? It is illogical to want a club for your kids to be proud of, while simultaneously handing over your money to a man that is doing his best to destroy it for the future.

The Articles of association are the governing documents of a corporate entity - so a resolution has been passed amending them. We can see what that is in a few days when CH upload the docs themselves. Could be anything though - from changing the number of directors on the board to changing how many days’ notice is given for shareholder meetings.

Exactly the same thing you tell him if he wants to spend his pocket money on being whipped by whores.

That’s probably far enough, now.

Boycoutters are saying to parents “No, find something else to do with your child.” Erm, could you not lose yourself in your rage (justified though it might be) so much that you tell people how to raise their children?

(I know your comment was hyperbolic nonsense, but there has been plenty that has no levity at all)

quite frankly nobody needs to explain why they go to a match or why they decide not to - if they are taking their kids or parents or friends etc. just know that whatever ticket you buy ultimately is what goes into MA's pockets and with evidence know that he doesn't use such said funds to give to Rafa, he's paying himself back.

Any due diligence experts on here?

What possibly could come up (in the books) that we don't see in the accounts the company files? I ask becauze despite be believe he doesn't want to sell, I don't understand why all of the offers are nowhere near his asking price.

It's because his asking price is not realistic

The squad and facilities all need serious investment, the only thing that's significantly increased under Ashley is the TV money and he had absolutely nowt to do with that

This. I support a boycott as much as anyone...every game in fact - such is neeeded. But it’ll have a cost and it’s a big ask.

The transfer record progression of every Premier League club

This feature reveals the last five times every Premier League club has broken their transfer record, on whom, from where and for how much. Enjoy (laughing at/pitying Newcastle)…

Newcastle United

Warren Barton – £4m (Wimbledon, June 1995)

Les Ferdinand – £6m (QPR, July 1995)

Faustino Asprilla – £6.7m (Parma, February 1996)

Alan Shearer – £15m (Blackburn, July 1996)

Michael Owen – £16m (Real Madrid, August 2005)

Fifteen current Premier League clubs have broken their transfer record at least five times since Newcastle last set theirs. Of the other five, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have broken theirs four times, while Fulham have spent more than £16m on four different players, including one from Newcastle.

Manchester United’s transfer record is the second-longest standing, a full 3,996 days after Newcastle signed Michael Owen. Good lord.

It's disgraceful. There's hundreds of millions gone missing from our club under Ashley. Would love to see someone work out how much money he's deprived the club of over all these years.

To think we are the only team In the Premier League not to have broken our record in the last 2-3 years and also the team with lowest record transfer is an absolute disgrace.

Yet still people defend Ashley saying he's put his own money in. Where the fuck has hundreds of millions of pounds disappeared to???
