We obviously agreed to let him go to Saudi which is probably life changing money. We’ve now gone back on our word on that for obvious reasons. Yes technically the legal position doesn’t reflect that but we’ve decided to give him a small amount of compensation to reflect the fact he’s given up that opportunity and to keep him happy and performing well in an important position where we have an injury prone first choice and a Greek third choice who isn’t trusted by anyone at Nottingham Forest or here and so clearly isn't a viable alternative. No. Tell him to like it or lump it. Just like we should have hung Sandro out to dry on principle instead of treating him with kindness so he knew he was wanted when he returned. Who needs morale when you've managed to save possibly a few hundred thousand quid keeping the 'keeper of your eight match winning streak onside? Kid Icarus Posted Tuesday at 11:11 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:11 (edited) I think it's worth asking yourself these two questions: 1. Do we need him at the moment? 2. If we do, is it worth the risk of it affecting his performances by not giving him a wage bump for a few months? We don't know what's gone on, what promises have been made etc, but I think you have to be pragmatic and (potentially unlike Dubravka who has form here) put the club and the position it's in first. We lose very little by sweetening the deal. Edited Tuesday at 11:12 by Kid Icarus

Exactly. Can't believe this is an issue to some people on here.

Forest think he’s useless and Eddie thinks he’s useless. He’d probably pick Ruddy ahead of him. We don’t know because nobody has really seen him play, but I’m not convinced we would really notice the difference if he played instead of Dub. I don’t really know either, but he’s number one for Greece, he’s not a non-league player.

Imagine the same happening again The fact that Dubs was so poor for us last season and still favourited over the Greek lad says a lot I reckon. When asked about him Eddie said something to the effect of: he’s a real nice guy and is liked by the players. read between the lines.

Wullie Posted Tuesday at 15:06 Share Posted Tuesday at 15:06 He was number 1 for Benfica for like 5 years, I do find it hard to believe he's a complete dud.

Pilko Posted Wednesday at 22:15 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:15 First time he's been properly tested since he came in, but he stood up to it well tonight. The Larsen save was excellent, fair play to him.

Hopefully stays for the season at least we look a much better footballing side with him in nets.
