Someone on rtg suggested that the fans got what they wanted in wanting Lee Johnson sacked. A few replies were basically saying, it was the board who sacked him, not the fans. Although technically correct, they've got such a brass neck pretending they didn't influence the decision with the way they went on.[emoji38]

The BBC Newcastle Region is the "North East and Cumbria" . . .

Yes MP, I'm aware Look North covers the north east and Cumbria but the point I was making was that I found it funny that a major SAFC story...in their eyes anyway...was trumped by one about a sport which usually gets less coverage being played in a relatively small Cumbrian town. Although it looks nice enough from what I've seen of it.

Does nobody else think we are being sold short by our Regional BBC Radio Station.
Newcastle fans can listen to every game on the premium FM network.
We get FM when nufc and nufc u23s are not playing.

We are told there are ways to listen to the SAFC games by DAB and TV 719.
If this is such a good alternative why don't nufc fans have to do this?

And another reply

Not just radio, but our friends at Look North also. On a Monday they show interviews with Howe and Wilder and then we are afforded exactly the same air time as Hartlepool, Harrogate etc, with all due respect we are the joint biggest club in the region but we're nothing but a lower league afterthought. You can bet your bottom dollar if it had been the mags in our position they wouldn't be getting treat like second class citizens.

They are still raging about this a few days later

Sunderland 15th highest attendance in all leagues in England with 30,500 (nufc 7th with 51,500). Do they fuck have more than 30,000. The ground holds 48,000 and the top tiers are empty and the main stands are half-full. They’re clearly counting their ‘seyson cards’ that are 100 quid each. Arseholes.

They should complain to the man responsible for ignoring the makem bastards: born and bred in the shadow of Roker Park and life long Sunderland supporter Jeff Brown, editor of BBC local sport.

They’ve certainly been massively exaggerating their attendances this season. They've only got the lower sections of their stadium open these days which puts their capacity at around 35/36k plus whatever the away team bring which is rarely more than a few hundred, and it still looks little more than half full opposite the camera and behind the goal to the left.

They count free tickets that are accepted, even if they're not used. They were known for doing this in the PL, hence their £9 ticket average when they went down.

Ie if they manage to hand out 1000 free tickets in the street, that's +1000 on the gate even if everyone throws them in the bin. I mean it's just a blatant lie to say that's their attendance, when it's nothing of the sort. Utterly shameless.

Yet none of them mention this blatant lying of their attendance figures , funny that .

What makes it funnier is that they have attendance threads every week, trying to convince themselves of the 30,000 crowds, when all you have to do is look at their post match highlights to see there is nowhere near that actually in the crowd (apart from Defoe's debut).

Yet we are the ones "obsessed with attendances".

Every single thing they say about us is complete projection.

Go on lad get into them

It’s coming up to 6 months since we were taken over and the fewm and rage is still unabated. They really are being consumed by their own jealousy.

Is hilarious like them tracking their attendances hoping for 30k. Ours is pretty easy to track. Sold out game after game instantly. It must be fact we have sold out more home games this season alone than they have in the last 25 years [emoji38]

The kid who claims he is “numb to it all” yet is absolutely fewming that a child is wearing a Newcastle shirt (amongst other things) is a particular highlight.
