Now Krafth and Trippier have gone, Schar leaves and we're running a massive risk of being a genuine 7/10 squad. Gordon leaving should nullify that hopefully
Ben
If Schar stays does that mean we wont sign another central defender cos we'll have our 4 required for a 40 game season ?

I think we will sign a young LCB if Schar stays but if he doesn't the priority becomes a RCB and then a LCB in winter or next summer to replace Dan Burn. I think we will go for Viery if Schar does sign

Optimistic Nut
Disappointing that McArthur or Heffernan didn't develop into a viable 4th/5th CB for the Premier League. Anyone in the age group below looking capable?

joeyt
I'm sure i read Alabi played centre back for our youth teams but a quick Google i might be mistaken and he might be a midfielder

Anyone in the age group below looking capable? As a CB? That kid we got from Barnsley is probably the highest-rated, but he’s at least another two years away. There’s also that kid whose physique and movement resembles Pogba, but again he’s very young.
RodneyCisse
If we have Thiaw, Botman, Schar and Burn for a purely domestic season with a young cb who can learn/play early rounds.
Donut
Unless the injury has ruined him he is still by far the best CB we have imo. Him and Burn work the best as a pairing. One more year surely.

Chicken Dancer Posted yesterday at 14:04 Share Posted yesterday at 14:04 Whilst we need to be more ruthless with some, this is definitely a good thing. I still think he’s our best centre half. Hopefully the injury hasn’t fucked him too much.
