Yorkie
Wasn’t he designed to play alongside Perez as like an inside forward, with fullbacks providing width? Both of them playing off Rondon. I thought he was more of a forward than a genuine wide player, don’t really know mind. There's nothing wingery about him. He just gets played there cos his stamina is outrageous. Mr Logic
Feel really sorry for the guy and can see Bruce making him the fall guy. He is being asked to play a totally different roll to that under Rafa. He is playing far too deep and can't be expected to make runs with the ball and score goals starting from his own penalty box. He will soon be dropped in favour of lumping the ball up to Carrol and Joelinton Feel sorry for him too, almost predictable what will happen unless he whacks a couple in soon. Paully
Poor lad has been Bruce'd! He looked quality playing off and around Rondon and Perez - he looks lost under this nugget of a manager!
Minhosa
Poor lad has been Bruce'd! He looked quality playing off and around Rondon and Perez - he looks lost under this nugget of a manager! Agreed. I really like him. He'd be immense under Klopp.

jackyboy
A season ticket holder at Villa says that this would be typical Bruce. He says at Villa they had some really good young players but Bruce didn't know how to set the team up to get the best out of them so they finished up on the bench. Looks like more of the same

Looks like more of the same he looked dangerous under rafa from the moment he turned up looks like he's no idea what's going on now with this fool and his position on the pitch is ludicrous for the most part just hope he's not utterly ruined before we go down and sell him on, hopefully he gets a move to a decent club and does well
TBG
Poor guy. Gone from working under a world class manager to a manager that doesn't do tactics.

LV
ahahahaha who wins the prize? Utterly predictable. Don’t know how to use an attacking, flair player. Blame said player for not knowing how to use him and drop him. Bruce wants to drop himself, preferably from a great height.
Scoot
Aye this is so predictable. Pardew/Ben Arfa mk.2.

Mattoon
Utterly, depressingly, predictable. The whole piss poor scenario is playing out just as anticipated from the moment this useless sack of kebab meat was hired as Rafa's replacement. Good luck getting out your own half vs Leicester without Almiron fat boy. Having said that there's probably no use for Almiron if we're going "back to basics" the instruction will be to hoof it and play the percentages. Mattoon
Miggy, Miggy, Miggy can't you see, Brucey's gone and dropped you for route one footy.
Conjo
Would be quite funny if the conclusion of Bruce's re-evaluation of playing on the front foot was to axe Almiron for someone else and that's it. Still don't understand who could possibly replace him unless he's going to risk ASM once again unless he's planning to play three central midfielders with Atsu behind Joelinton on top. Either way my pop corn will be ready for sunday evening.
LV
Article says it’s ASM who will replace him. Much lolz. Fella’s not even fully fit ffs

Guest neesy111
Atsu was absolutely rubbish vs Brighton.
TRon
Atsu had a couple of decent games since he came back into the side, but against Brighton he was back to his usual self. Invisible mostly, and utterly lacking in intent when he did get the ball. Only when ASM came on and started running at Brighton did Atsu suddenly wake up. Minhosa
Poor cunt. Signing for Rafa and then being lumbered with this fucking swamp donkey.
Conjo
ASM was brought in early for the second time already. After the match this weekend there were reports that he felt a small strain. It's written in the stars that if Bruce pushes his luck and uses him this weekend he will get injured again. He needs proper rest and rehabilitating training until the medical team is confident he is fully healed (which is normally some time AFTER the player feels ok). For Bruce's sake I hope his desperation drives him to sacrifice ASM for a third time in a row only to have it bite him in the ass afterwards. For ASMs health and future sake I hope he's rested and comes back stronger.
