VAR is ruining the game - that's ridiculous.  Didn't get any advantage with the slightest of hand balls.

:serious: it went to a teammate who scored

It would have got to a teammate even if he hadn't brushed it.  The direction of the ball didn't change.

Don't think so. Seems to change direction and even wrong foot a Tottenham defender.

It's not really pretty but I think they have to give the foul on this one.

Football fans are having their cake and eating it. We protested constantly about split second decisions not being judged perfectly, now we're protesting constantly at split second decisions having to be perfect.

The rule change is fucking ridiculous. How can you have a rule where an infringement is only an infringement based on what happens afterwards? In one box, it's handball, in the other it's not, the exact same scenario. The game is losing the plot.

Can’t even be mad. Three excellent goals from Pukki. Maybe Dubs should have saved the second but it was an fantastic striker’s performance all round. He looks confident. He’s 28 but looks 35.

That is shocking by Adrian. Kinda feel for him because of the way Liverpool play but just clear your lines if you can’t do it.

MOTD put up an explanation of the new handball rule;

Law 12 Handball offence if a player gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm...

LaPorte never gained possession or control.

There’s a bit about a goal resulting from a touch on a hand. TBH I assumed it meant the goalscorer himself though, not anyone in the build up.

It is an offence if a player:

-deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball

-gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm and then:

-scores in the opponents’ goal

-creates a goal-scoring opportunity

-scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper

He didn't deliberately handle the ball, and everything aftr 'and then' is irrelevant.
